So today Alianza Lima, my team here, had to win against Melgar in the altitude of Arequipa and hope that Sporting Cristal drew or lost. We went 1 0 down on the stroke of halftime, then one of our players got sent off for tangling with a ball boy! We then equalized and went 2 1 up in the space of 3 minutes, a minute later they equalised. They then had 2 one on ones which our keeper saved! Then corner in the 86th minute and our erratic Uruguayan striker Guevazión rises to head in the winner! Meanwhile in Chiclayo Cristal can only draw 1 1 with a team fighting to stay up. We finish level on points and goal difference doesn't apply. So we play Cristal on Weds to decide who the winners of the clausura are. Then the winner plays Juan Aurich the winners of the apertura to decide the national. Champions, I'll keep you posted!!!
That is correct Sooper. Although the standard here isn't great it has been high on excitement this year!
