Few surprises. Two debuts for England. Chris Woakes and Simon Kerrigan.

Australia have won the toss and are batting

Now let's finish in style. 4-0 would be a bit of pay back for 2006/07.

You hear what Darren Lehmann's been saying on Aussie Radio about getting the Aussie fans to intimidate Stuart Broad in the Winter? Or should i say "make him cry".

    What a whinging tart.

Just because they're getting their arses handed to 'em.

    11-1 Warner gone.

Aussies have been pretty dodgy so far, but got away with it.

    Weldone Jimmy Anderson.

I think Lehmann's just trying to deflect attenion away from his side. Broad was right not to walk.

I always like to get Warner early. He's a bit like Michael Slator in the way if he bats for 100 balls Australia will be off to a great start.

****ing cheating convicts dont walk. If you're going to throw mud youve got to make sure you're whiter than white. I dont recall Cook making similar calls for the crowd to have a go at Warner about smacking Root. Why does Lehmann have to stir it up?

I used to think he was alright cos of his Yorkshrie connection but Ive now deducted he's clearly a **** of the highest orider.

    I totally concur.

    What a hypocritical fat ****er.

Boo hoo Broad didn't walk. Nobody walks anymore and there's been plenty of examples of the convicts not walking in this series.

Smacks of desperation if you ask me.

He looked like a pie chucker yesterday.

    Fooking awful.

Team selection wrong and Cook has little bowling options open to him after the BIG 3.

Why has not Root had a bowl yesterday ?

Looks like the rain gods have taken over this thursday.

I'd have gone with Tremlett instead of the pie chucker.

Well they saw fit to leave out Graham Onions on his own patch in the 4th test so why any of us would thing they would give Tremlett or Finn a go should not surprise us. So much for going for the 4-0 with that team. Looks like rain will end up being mom this time.

    Root getting bogged down again.

    I bet he doesn't get 20.

Series strike rate of 21, 'kin 'ell Chris Tavare scored quicker than that.

Feels like we're treating this like a friendly, with an eye on the next series, which in all honesty makes good sense really.

This game I think is critical, England lost the toss if they can win from this position after losing the toss, then it will deflate the Aussies for the ashes down under.

As an aside, Yorks had another great day today in the Championship, with unsung hero Steve Patterson of Beverley to the fore. He's averaging under 20 with the ball in first-class cricket this year.

    He's passed 20! A four from his 73rd ball takes him to 21 - that's a sizzling strike rate of 28.8.

After what can only be described as a shambolic selection policy for this test, the last thing the selectors needed was Tremlett taking 8 wickets for Surrey against Durham.....pillocks.

    Weldone Yorkshire. Great effort.

England taking the piss in this Test with time wasting, the selection process and not using Kerrigan and Woakes to bowl.

I don't understand why they wouldn't want to humiliate the Aussies more and beat them 4-0 and get into the history books. The Aussies would've jumped at the chance to batter us.
