It could well be the end of Lions tours if this came about

We’ve virtually got an International League in existence already, with the 6 Nations, summer tours and autumn internationals- it’s just a case of formalising it, with a few tweeks.

A lot of businesses in SA, Australia and NZ will put pressure on to keep the Lions tours going.<okay>

The Ospreys chairman responds to ongoing media speculation.

    Ospreys chairman Rob Davies said:

“The tedious narrative that the Ospreys are somehow facing an impending financial challenge is not only entirely false, but malicious propaganda by those for whom the demise of the Ospreys would be a twisted convenience.

“The Ospreys are adequately funded for the foreseeable future and will continue to seek a more equitable distribution model which, at the moment, is weighted towards subjective criterion capable of improper manipulation, rather than an objective formula based on impartially quantifiable metrics and success.”

Project Reset was established to not only identify how much funding was needed to enable the Regions to compete in Europe but also how the monies were to be distributed.

What Rob is saying is that the distribution model is subjective and open to interpretation rather than objective and clear to all and sundry.

Means the slanderous statements being bandied around that the Ospreys are in financial melt down are rumors of convenience used as an excuse by the Scarletts to justify their back stabbing attempt at murdering the one and only true region and the most successful region in Wales.

Subjective = Dependent on thought, on what's in the head and outside of the real world. Based on emotion and feeling outside of reality and fact.
Scarletts feel they have a sense of entitlement to exist over and above all other regions and the WRU even if it means the demise of the most successful region in Wales. The feeling of entitlement they have is in their heads and cannot be supported by any evidence what so ever.

Objective = Dependent on reality, based on observable phenomena and empirical evidence.
Ospreys are the most successful region in Wales, winning 4 titles and providing the bulk of players to Wales, underpinning its successes both past and present. 13 Ospreys beat England at Twickenham and went on to win the 2008 Grand Slam. The current Welsh set up, WRU, Warren Gatland owe the Ospreys for the success they've enjoyed for the last 10 years and there is plenty of evidence to support that claim.

All the Regions now have visibility of each other’s financial results and forecasts.

Could be that some Regions have breached rules of confidentiality......

Anyway, all of them (apart from the WRU owned Dragons) have financial challenges.....
