My sadness is the amount of talent we have in welsh club rugby that never get a look in today.....They dont get the exposure because its all about the regions now and there are some great talented rugby players being missed out there....
Mike James has replaced Roger Blyth as Chairman. Makes sense given that he and Rob Davies are / have been the main financial backers
Neath never did embrace the regional "Club " scene and rightly so imo , a big Club with enough dissenters of regional rugby to affect the support of the Ospreys .I hear HMRC are very interested in the financial aspects as well so things both on and off the field aren't looking good
I thought the original lack of embrace was due to Cuddy (now bust) (at Ospreys) and the wood guy who went bust (at Neath) were not on good terms?
Originally they were close, then Cuddy fell out with Hawkes. At that point, Neath became sidelined..... at Cuddy’s behest!
Haven't watched a single game this season and I refuse to because the WRU killed welsh rugby when they signed with Premier Sports.
Neath back in Court end of January. I’m told that even if the Company folds, the Club (in a new guise) will fulfill its fixtures for the rest of the season but ..... Timing is everything, as the transfer window closes in January....
