Moving on lads everyone has off days (some more than others) nothing we can do now except sort out our defensive issues (that has to be priority for Jan imo), Bolton on the weekend! Hopefully we can get a cup run going
Our Chrimbo programme meant we faced City, Spurs and the Pool. I would have taken 3 points from those games, hoping for 4. Anyone thinking we could have got more benefits from a very cheery disposition, or requires a bit more lithium in their reddy-brek. So I'm happy with that outcome... We were ****e tonight - no doubt about it, esp c. defence. Zero presence on the park, no leadership, no fine skill/movement with purpose, no shots/finishing, no nothin.... all bar Fletcher seemed to have donned the latest boots from Crawfords. But hey, **** happens....Our paper thin squad was laid bare and I hope it serves as a reminder to our powers that be to support MON with much cash, coz Christ he needs it. Thing is, it's extremely unlikely we'll get the 4-5 players in this January - although I hope to christ we do after tonight - not just financially, but blending a new four into the spine would be bloody difficult to manage over a half season. Hopefully we'll get 2 or 3 new faces to cement a lower-mid table position. Anyway, Happy New Year folks...we are Sunderland and it wouldn't be the same without some **** performances giving us all something to worry about!
