Internacional have had an email received with a proposed offer of €20m for Brazilian Oscar. Its thought that the email is from us. But Internacional said in reply that "we think Oscar is worth more than 20m euros. The numbers have to change". So the deal hasn't been concluded yet. Do you think we will up our offer? Hope we do.

He normally plays in behind the striker, but he's also played as a winger and a deep-lying playmaker.

Worth a punt then. As long as we don't loan him out when we get him. <smile>

Now Oscar was a crafty sod,
He threw the boy a plum,
And when he stooped to pick it up..........,
    Wallop, straight up the...

Looks like you've got the deal done for Oscar. Reckon he'll be loaned out at first, whilst I haven't seen him play all the pictures of him make him look very weak. Needs sometime playing regularly in England and bulking up before he'll be ready for you in my opinion.

Oh Christ no not another one !!!!!!
We must have 150 billion of loan players we never even get a glimpse of.
If he cant make the first team, which still needs strengthening , for Christs sake, stop wasting money on these juvenile " might be's"
What the f#*k is the point of 16,000 juniors who never even get to see the first team, ****ing around for 5 years before dissapearing from sight forever.
Call it a day, and go back to buying proven winners.
Get someone in to get control of our youth, because now its a leaking cash bucket with **** all rewards.
If they can' t make it at age 20, they probably never will. Other teMs youth do, why dont ours??

Stone me...if that little lot don't get him behind the lines and on the score sheet we are well ****ed<laugh>

25m to loan somebody straight out? No chance.

He'll be in the first team squad but i'm not so sure about the starting XI, seems to be an awful lot of competition for the 3 spots behind the striker, assuming we're going to line up in a 4-2-3-1. Think it might take a while for him to adapt, but it's an exciting signing anyway. Still think we'll get a couple more in it yet too.

Lukkaku was about £18mill and you tried to loan him straight out to Stoke didn't you? Maybe I'm wrong, because Oscar is older but he just looks too weak for the English game:

Then again we were told that about Modric.

£13m rising up to a potential £18m. If we do sign Oscar, it seems he will cost £25m.

Are you going off on one again CP. Steady mate, wait till the season starts and have your rant if it doesn't go our way. I however am more excited than when JM took charge, like what is happening whoever is controlling it, dont worry about the money thing, RA did not become a rich man by throwing it away. Yes, he has made mistakes, by the look of the squad this coming season, he has learned. Keep the faith. And Always look on the bright side of life<whistles>.

Only a mini rant Adelaide, would really like to spot a couple of these wunderkids at the Bridge, and not have to be like Marco Polo to see them play, or worse still, warm the bench.
Do like the sort of players were after now though, just hope him upstairs doesn't lose his rag as usual and upset the applecart. Would be nice to see the team grow and mature for a year or two.

    Brazilian journalist on twitter today:

"Brazil's main sports site 'Globo Esporte' has confirmed that Oscar has been allowed to undergo the medical at #CFC and sign contract too."

"Globo Esporte reckons #CFC will announce Oscar 'within the next few hours', the deal was agreed earlier today, according to them."

About Globo Esporte: "Yes, it's very reliable, arguably the most reliable site in Brazil."

When asked who was better between Ganso, Lucas Moura and Oscar: "I prefer Oscar, mostly because he is more complete and decisive than both and not injury prone like Ganso."

I feel the same way mate, your your concerns are the same as mine, but I have been through the mill so many times that I have conditioned myself to hope for the best. Why? Because I really cant control what happen's. So sad was I when we lost the cup final in 67, to the Spud's, I even considered supporting another team, glad I didn't and to be honest could never do it. **** me it turned around big time some 5 years later, we were in Europe, beating Real, You Know that **** Spanish team, now managed by. The Special One. Then a few years later, I had to go to Hereford to watch my team play, herded like cattle from the train station to the ground won 2-0, was pleased to bit's no matter what the opposition. Take the good times Bro' and remember the hard one's fondly because fan's will never die. It's hard but it's worth it. For Chelsea F.C. KTBFFH.
