    Just seen this myself - a little worried about his tendency to leave clubs for 'personal reasons' but hey ho here we go ...

    Welcome to the club - will be interesting to see how he plays with the players we have. Just asked a Brighton-supporting friend, who I asked about formation/style of play, and they came back with;

    "4-3-3 with one striker. Very slow build up play, can grind out a result but don't expect a lot of goals. Overall the most dull football we'd played for years"

    4-3-3 didn't really work when Beppe tried it, and with the strikers we have, surely he must adapt to have 2 up front - so will we keep the 3-5-2 or change to a preferred formation of his.

    I am not looking forward to this. I will back him of course and hope im completely wrong but there are some worrying stats and comments about him.

    Brighton fans are saying he will put you to sleep, that he likes slow boring football and to win games 1-0. This is evidenced by the fact the scored only 55 goals in their playoff season whereas we scored 74 & 85 the last two years. This team is made to win matches 4-2 not 1-0 and I can bet our fans wont enjoy it.

    If he plays 4-3-3 we wont win anything because we dont have the players for it! Deeney excells with assistance up top, as we saw Saturday, and we have too many wide pacy players for a midfield 3 to work and keep everyone happy.

    We have far better options up front for him; we will be plenty attacking but will also continue the recent trend of not conceding late goals. He was hampered by injuries to forwards at Brighton.
    It's far better than another unknown from Italy with no UK experience so don't worry.

    Mixed views here;

    Will be interesting to see if he brings in any of his own people, or we keep the coaches we already have, and he just slips in as head coach. Never know if the negative views are down to a certain amount of bitterness for them leaving.... but good luck to the new guy, should get the full support of the fans, and hopefully the players!

    He's going to have a hard time playing boring football with our squad. To be honest Brighton weren't really good enough to reach the play-offs last season so getting there was an achievement in itself. Lets hope he is someone who adapts to his resources.

    That said, choosing Watford over Leeds??!!!? That's like choosing guaranteed community theatre your whole life rather than a possibility of starring on Broadway or the West End (sorry, actor here)!

    Dont you just love the Leeds fans. ;)

    Waiting to hear back directly from my Seagull buddy; as far as I'm concerned someone who speaka da lingo a bit more fluently that Beppe has got to be some form of relief. I found his interviews painful and uninspiring, I can imagine how the anglophone players felt.

    Well he does seem to tick a few boxes;

    Has Championship experince, with a team pushing for promotion/play-offs
    Would assume he does speak some English
    He's 'been there, done it' with Barcalona, so may command more respect amongst the players
    Suggestions are he is a more 'modern' coach, which fits in well with the Pozzo's

    Watched the Andrews interview on SkySport. He clearly thinks highly of Garcia and made a point of his liking flair and made the Barcelona comment so it is a surprise here to see Birghton fans thought his football dull. I hope he is the sort of manager who can adapt to good players. Andrews clearly believes we have an excellent squad and self belief is important. To be honest I will be happy with 1-0 wins rather than 4-2 if he does get us into the Premiership.

    All quotes from the Yorkshire Post.

    The next man in charge according to Wikipedia is the ex Watford boss Beppe Sannino.

    You only have to compare the quality of the squads and the sanity of the chairmen to understand why Garcia chose to go to Watford over Leeds.

    I suspect it will be Garcia that made the mistake of choosing Watford rather than Leeds 'missing out' on Garcia...

    Hold my hat up. That said, choosing Watford over Leeds??!!!? That's like choosing guaranteed community theatre your whole life rather than a possibility of starring on Broadway or the West End (sorry, actor here)! If Garcia REALLY is more excited by Watford, good luck to him. He's making a huge mistake, but good luck to him anyway. Clarke in. (I think some of this is already on here)

    Oscar Garcia probably took one look at what Cellino was offering financially and thought he'd be better off at Watford. Watford or Leeds? Obvious choice for Garcia. Unlike the fans, who live in the past thinking Leeds is a big club and believing all the drivel about being champions of Europe, the reality is a club that has teetered on the brink of financial meltdown, sells it's best players and appoints a non-league coach. With a trigger happy el presidente I'm not surprised players want out and no manager wants the job. Rats deserting a sinking ship.

    Amusing the reactions of the Leeds fans.
