Cardozo proven at European level, but around twice the price (and I'll bet they'd want it all up front) of the "unproven" Cornelius. Both 6' 4" and play the same sort of role. Cardozo is 30 - Cornelius is 20. Do we want or need both? I'd take a shot at Cornelius for the potential. If money were no object, maybe yes to both, but I'd prefer to be hearing about some reinforcements at the back. We are going to need some quality wing backs and at least another good CB to survive let alone push on up there.
Don't see this one happening for a whole variety of reasons, a number of which Sparkey stated above. I'll be happy when Ince is confirmed, we get another central midfielder (don't see Wanyama coming either) plus 2 or 3 defenders one of which should be Barnett. While VT has deep pockets they are not bottomless and we also need to bear in mind the financial fair play rules.
A big no for me, if we get Corn in then that's enough up front, cover for or an improvement in defence and Ince in the midfield should see us ok.
No problem with you putting up the rumour and source QV. It all adds to the mystique of the transfer window and who signs for who, when and for how much. Some look like goers, e.g. Ince, Cornelius and others just don't feel right although we still seem to be chasing Wanyama.
Looks like there's a bit more meat to this story: http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...diff-city-linked-4751521#.UdAQhvvGAlQ.twitter The fact that he's another 6'3" striker could mean Malky's after squad depth, a very important consideration in the Premiership.
Hope the club isn't holding back handing Cornelius the shirt for the usual photo shot in case this guy comes on board. Cornelius first please - this guy, although proven at a good level, would be a bonus. EDIT: - If he does come to us as well, it'll probably be bye bye Rudy.
