Orlandi has shown flashes of talent and was fabulous away at Villa last season. In an ideal world I'd rather him stay but in all honesty I can't see him getting much game time with us as we're so strong in midfield. Been a good servant and good luck to him.
I hope it's just a loan to give him regular competitive game time, which for different reasons, he didn't get with us. I have always believed that he is a classy player with ability who would thrive under the right manager at this level. It's so ironic that, now both of those things are in place, he is being shipped out. The trouble is, I don't think that Brighton will see what he is really capable of because the physicality of the Championship is not best suited to his particular game. Never mind. Perhaps he will do well and, if it is a loan, perhaps come back to us fitter and match tuned when I believe he could really blossom under Laudrup. I really hope he gets the chance.
Really rated Orlandi, regardless of some of the rubbish spoken regarding him on here, looks like he's on a permanent move out of the liberty, I for one will wish him all the very best at Brighton, I'm sure he will get the game time he deserves, technically a very gifted player, just needs to harden up to the British game. Gus Poyet will be good for him!....................
KJ stole my thinder. I have always thought that he has everything. He has superb games and then the next game just doesnt perform or is injured. I agree at Villa last year he was awsome. This guy has so much talent and is more than capable of playing in the pl. So, if he is on his way again, good luck.
Fifty odd games and only two or three where he stood out as even remotely better than average. The epitome of deadwood.
Best for all concerned for him to move on, talented lad but he never fulfilled his potential because of constant injury problems and he did lack strength on the ball . Good luck to him, hope he does well for Brighton.
