Hull City manager Steve Bruce will ring the changes this evening in a bid to keep his first-team squad fresh ahead of the trip to Manchester City.
A host of squad members in need of match fitness will be the beneficiaries and all will be keen to show Bruce they are not to be forgotten.
Up front will come chances for Matty Fryatt and Nick Proschwitz, while George Boyd and David Meyler are expected to play in midfield.
A new-look defence should see Paul McShane, Alex Bruce, Liam Rosenior and Joe Dudgeon get a chance in front of debutant Steve Harper.
Numerous players will be rested from the weekend win over Norwich and that could also mean rare starts for attacking pair Aaron Mclean and Cameron Stewart.
Stewart has recovered from a knee injury to travel with the City squad this morning.
Yannick Sagbo is one player certain to miss out after collecting a three-game ban for his red card on Saturday. He also misses games with Manchester City and Cardiff.
Stephen Quinn (hamstring) and Abdoulaye Faye (calf) again miss out.
Shaun Batt is Leyton Orient’s only reported injury concern as they plot revenge over Hull City in the Capital One Cup second round this evening.
The forward, who signed from Millwall this summer, has been struggling with a hamstring injury of late.
Although he was fit enough for a place on the bench at Stevenage 10 days ago, a recurrence of the problem ruled him out of Saturday’s comfortable 2-0 win over Crewe.
Manager Russell Slade has an otherwise fully fit squad and could go with an unchanged starting XI for a fourth consecutive game.
If the first round win over Coventry City was anything to go by, changes are expected to be few and far between.
Slade named a strong side three weeks ago and was rewarded with a dramatic 3-2 win over the Sky Blues. Kevin Lisbie, who already has four goals to his name this term, notched an 89th-minute winner that night.
David Mooney and Dean Cox are well known to City after they scored in the FA Cup meetings between the two sides last season.

We should be going for this, keep the momentum going.

I don't like it when we rest players but I suppose premier league survival is the priority. It would be nice to have a cup run and our reserve team should really beat orient tonight.

Why can't we rest our best players and still win the game?

Fryatt, Proschwitz, Meyler, Boyd, Bruce, Dudgeon, McShane, Rosenior were all good enough for the championship so they should be able to beat a League 1 side.

Agree Chaz, can see him making many changes tonight but we lost momentum in January when we made wholesale changes for the FA Cup.

I'd limit changes to 4 max but think he'll make up to 7. We should take this opportunity to enhance team understanding & build on new partnerships like Chester/Davies & Graham/Aluko

Battering them can only improve confidence.

Looking forward to seeing Dudge again, and still preying Stewart comes good. He has the talent, it's just lost somewhere. He was once rated as a better option than Brady, imagine having Stewart bombing on down the right, with Brady on the left, with Aluko down the middle.

Enough quality there to win the game. All 11 should be champing at the bit to try and stake a claim for Saturday

Townsend and Martin on the bench, apart from that it's strong.

Not a bad line up. Will be interesting to see how Proschwitz does. Another goal like last years cracker will help. Hope Stewart looks good enough to attract that rumoured Celtic bid.

No space for Dougie Wilson then. Wonder if he's going out on loan?

Probably wants experience on the bench in case it goes tits up! If not then expect Townsend & J Martin to come on around the 55/60 minute mark.
