Newcastle just signed him on a 5 year deal from Man U. Cant be true, Man U rejects on 5 year deals, never, not Newcastle....
He will probably score against us, wish we had a bit more pace in our midfield, I think we will struggle next season to break quickly, especially with no left flank
He is ****ing woeful. I can't believe they can take the piss over us signing quality proven players like O'shea and Brown and then go and sign this useless twat. Will have a tenner on him to score against us.....
whatever happened to SAF not being daft and only let's people leave who are passed it or not good enough !!! or does that only apply to us ??? let me guess our signings are pure dross, over the hill, and wouldn't make it into there team whereas they have bought the next ronaldo. and they wonder why people call em deluded ffs
I personally don't rate the guy and Fergie rarely lets good prospects go to be fair. He'll get my support though, as all new players will and be ultimately judged on results and performances on the pitch.
I'm not exactly chuffed with it myself. I was hoping for Barnetta not bloody Obertan. HOWEVER, I've been listening to a few Man Utd fans and they all seem to think that he has the potential to be an incredible winger. The pace and technique is all there. The only problem is that he's 'mentally fragile', so he needs his confidence kept up. Let's hope Pards and the fellow frenchies can work some magic and make him feel much more settled here. Even if he does turn out to be ****, I'll still be excited about his pace, as long as he is capable of a simple task like running with the ball. The guy is so quick it's almost inhuman.
Someone needs to tell him the white lines are the edges of the pitch mind, then who knows, he could develop..
Was just about to mention Bellion, he doesn't get chased by Ostrich's he chases them and catches them. Ask him to run with a football and he's lost though. Obertan is pretty hopeless to be honest, I thought he could have been very good when I first seen him for Man Utd but his end product is non-existent. As for the main point of the article... I was getting stick from a Mag mate of mine as we had signed players only relegated or had never played in the Championship after I mentioned Noocarsle's lack of premiership experience, a day later we signed Wes Brown and John O'Shea. Oh how I laughed and he tried to quickly change the topic to the 5-1 game ha ha ha
