    You mean King James II daughter? What a kick in the balls that must have been! The reason that I thought it was 1688 was that in primary school I had a ruler that had all the monarchs on them and on that said ruler it stated 1688! Far better than wikipedia!

    Queen Elizabeth was Queen in 1951, but her coronation wasn't until 1952, no?(That might be absolute bollocks, but I think it is right)

    Cant say I am obsessive about the monarchy so please do tell why your view is correct and the view of academics is flawed. Always assumed the coronation was the same as an inauguaration. Previous to the coronation he would be acting as sort of "king elect"
