So, as Nick Higgs and the other directors wake up this morning hoping it was all a bad dream, and then realize it wasn't, what should they do ?

They must feel like chucking the towel in. Should Higgs and/or the other directors go?
I say no. I don't blame them for appointing Buckle. He looked like a good candidate and talks the talk. They've backed him to the hilt. I think they've kept our club afloat and if Higgs were to go it could scupper whatever progress is being made with a new ground.
It would be great if there were a consortium, a millionaire backer or an affluent fans' group in the wings....but there isn't.
They could stick with Buckle. Personally I hope not. He's lost the fans, and turnstile money matters. I wonder if all the players back him. I find Gill's carefully chosen words interesting. He's upset too many backroom staff; and, of course, we're dropping down the fourth division.
Money is tight. Buckle has overspent the budget agreed by the directors. Trollope, Lawrence and Patterson are now employed so I hope we're no longer paying them. We're probably still paying Penney, and Buckle's contract would need to be bought out. I think that's only the rest of the year though.
I'm a great admirer of Campbell, but when he took over before the squad knew and respected him. This squad has no history with him. It would be harder, though he has more coaching qualifications than Buckle! If Campbell were to be involved it would have to be with an experienced head by his side. Again, I'm also intrigued by Gill's two interviews.
We're not going to attract a 'name' manager, and many will be wary given our recent history with managers. A former Bristol connection, like Johnson or Boothroyd, might help.
Johnson and Campbell ? I'm not overkeen but beggars can't be choosers !!

I assume you mean Buckle and not Higgs. Now that would be an honourable thing to do!!!!!!!

Our options are very limited at the moment.

    Car crash football

Most supporters I know say that this is the worst football they have seen for some time at the mem. They are all Buckles boys and many of them appear not good enough for this league.

The midfield is pants two of them play wing forwards and provide little or no support in front of the defenders, so we actually on have two in midfield protecting the defence breaking things up and providing a link for attack.Gill runs all over the place taking throwings corners free kicks etc and Dolman nice touches not fit?

We really can afford only to have a max one of the two out of Anyinsah and Carayol as they provide no cover.Someone like Campbell in the middle with Gill and Dolman may work better?

Still find it hard to fathom why our defence is so makeshift,Sawyer as a central defender??? when we have Byron on the bench. If BA is not long for the club then Buckle should pick up a new central defender to partner Bolger and sawyer move to left back,DW is a good player so retain him,Lee Brown is not playing well gets turned to easily.

As for the attack Mcgleish has not fitted in well possibly due the tactics and formation (Yeh what tactics and formation) we look like a team of under 8's dragged all over the place by the opposition leaving huge holes all over the park.

Atkins style of football but without the solid agricultural defence to keep the oppo out.

When not if Buckle is shown the exit we will probably go for the cheap option Campbell and an experienced coach that can source players to rebuild the team.

The Directors were blinded by bulls**t,however they should have controlled the spending, time to bite the bullet and let him go to pastures new otherwise the current stats put us in a relegation dogfight.

    only 3 options available.

    1. Sack Buckle, give the job to Cambs and pray.
    2. Keep Buckle and pray even harder.
    3. Mass suicide.
