Obviously after York yesterday and some of the early performances we have many reasons to be wary that next seasons could be very much like the last. But we also took a hammering to Leyton Orient before finishing 5th!
However, I recall reading that Gini came in for talks as did Mitrovic and before joining, they wanted reassurances regarding who NUFC would be bringing in before signing, hopefully this is true and just means being a bit patient. Slowly slowly catch the monkey!
I didn’t/haven’t seen the game yesterday, but the word Radge has been mentioned about mitro's performance and he defo threw himself about and did well for a striker whose only had one days training prior to the game, so hopefully he will only get sharper.
Mark Douglass (unsure how creditable he is) claims that the board are fully aware of our defensive frailties and there is a big deal in the works for a defender (other than Mbemba) and will take time. Again, hopefully this is the case because its much needed.
We also are not in the business of letting players go too cheaply, so when we are obviously trying to get rid of deadwood such as vuckic, bigi, willo and alike its going to take time.
I don’t think we will have all our business done by the Saints game but they have their own issues with 3 games in the next week including an away trip to Viteese Arhmen a couple of days before coming up to us!
But I am expectant that we will have a quality side come September 2nd, then I can fly off for two weeks and sun it up in a good mood!

Thanks for your input, Mr. Charnley. I look forward to September 2nd, when Willo starts his fourth game in a row, then you tell us about how we'll be keeping a keen eye on January's window.

    I'm really optimistic.
Last season took a lot out of me and I got to the point where I nearly never gave a fook.
I'm chilled, refreshed and looking forward to the season ahead.
A lot has changed off the pitch and on it so I'm patient and hopeful in equal measure.
I do think we'll make a few more signings.
