Good thread going about us on the Hull forum. I've had a few goes on it and to be fair, most of the guys posting on their board are very respectful - even go as far to say complimentry about Cardiff. <yikes>

I've got a lot of time for Hull and some of the supporters up there because of personal past working history, and I see both us and them with Bruce in charge as a realistic top 2 forecast.

Anyone want to join in and keep it alive, thread link is below and titled "Cardiff Moving Away" (but not to Kualar Lumpur as someone suggested!).

Remote - I pointed out that we've got them up there the last game of the season - that could be very tasty and all to play for for both sides!

Just finished reading the thread. Some valid comments on there with the usual muppet on display.

It would be nice not to have to worry about the result of the last game, but this is Cardiff City we are talking about. I've a warm feeling (and I haven't peed myself) that while it won't be plain sailing, we are better positioned and prepared for the final third of the season than in all our time near the top of the division. If we do make it, I don't think anyone could begrudge us it. We've been knocking on the door for long enough.

What some of the posters don't seem to recognise is that we've just come off the back of a pile of injuries. Their troubles may not have happened yet.

Aye remote - the bottling comments still abound though. To be fair, it could seem that way these past few years to anyone outside the club with less knowledge of the circumstances - time to put that myth to the sword.

Oddly enough, injuries and suspensions can benefit any club in the medium to long term. You're forced into finding out who you've got in the bin capable of stepping up to the mark rather than playing the same players into the ground every week.

If he didn't know it before, Malky has sure got some ammo in the camp to bring up to the front line if we take some more hits.

Recognising our strengths and now not being afraid to blood less experienced players could make this season memorable for the right reasons.

A lot of people posting would love to be in the position to be able to bottle it. I think there is a difference between bottling it an running out of gas which is what we've suffered from in the past.

There's an interesting article on WoL where MM says every player in the squad is integral to his plans where that wasn't the case last year. We've seen that Gunnar, Cowie and Conway can step up to the mark. KimBo is showing flashes and nothing needs to be said about Bellamy. We have a genuien squad with little between some of the players. They know their roles and can adapt. The only players that could get run into the ground this season are Whitts, HH and Hudson. All the others have had 'time off' already so should be fresher.

We didnt bottle it last year. We were just nowhere near as good as West Ham.

The 3 seasons before that we had Dave Jones - there lay the problem.

    Going up - AS CHAMPIONS!

sparky, I don't think my heart could stand everything depending on the Hull game.
I sincerekly hope that we are going up there to be presented with the trophy, if we haven't already been given it at the previous home game. I keep thinking back to that 6 goal cushion we had going into the last game before playoffs, safe as houses................................................................................................................

We needed a point in that final game.

We did have a big goal difference advantage over I believe Preston. Then they put 6 on us with a few games to go.

Sheffield Wednesday then beat us and how they laughed.

Great club I forgive them theyve got great support. Theyve also been lumbered with Jones!!

agree with hilts, the pathetic endings to the seasons under jones have zero bearing to the team of today managed by malky.

i see this team as a well oiled machine that will stay in the top 2, top 4 at worst. when smith and mutch get back into the swing of things i dont see how teams can keep up with us to be honest...<ok>

Although he denied it, Jones went there for the draw. McCormack on the bench said it all.

Lost it 0-1 and the 6 goal Preston fiasco saw us out of the top 6 on goals scored (I think) because the goal difference was exactly the same as them at the death.

Never really got over that, and my opinion of Jones and his tactics hit an all time low.

Anyway, back to that thread up there.

One of the biggest laughs I had when I first commented on it was someone said we were cheating by having Bellamy in the Championship!

We were "cheating" when we had him on loan - now apparently we're cheating because we've signed him and paying his full wages! <doh>

    You couldn't make it up..........<laugh><laugh>

equal on goal difference, but they had scored one more goal than us - ONE!!!!!!

If we'd only conceded 5 at deepdale we'd have made it into the playoffs.

Is that idiot Tickler, by any chance?

If it is just take his daft comments with a pinch of salt.

    He talks bollocks for England.

    Good thread Sparks.

Some good sensible comments from Hull fans, let down by a small minority of brain dead knobs.

You handled them sensitively and well. Were you feeling okay?

It has been one of quiet periods lately Bluey - I'm beginning to mellow and bask in the magnanamous attitude of a fan supporting the top of the table team......<laugh>

I honestly think the Hull guys are one of the better sets of fans on this forum. Barring the occasional knuckle-dragger and one-eyd Cyclops posters that infest most club forums, they give credit where it's due, and boy are we due some! <ok>

    Very true Sparks.

Also, their team was one of the few who came to CCS to play football and not kick us off the park like Boro and Wednesday.

With Brucey as their manager that was quite a surprise - a bit of a Brucey's Bonus really. I'll get me coat!!!

The Bellamy comment about being tantamount to cheating was meant tongue in cheek I think (that's how I read it anyway).

Having read that again St Louis, I think you're probably right. <ok>

I'll give old Bullshit the benefit of the doubt anyway - he can't be all bad with a name like that.
