i see a lot of people humming about atkinson at the weekend and the fact he has a liverpool bias (which is nonsense btw) for me personally its keith friend... just from a liverpool stand point ......the red card he gave jay spearing which was was seriously harsh (you see those tackles week and out in the prem) in the same game against fulham , clint demspey squared up to bellamy and friend gives bellamy a yellow (i laughed because bellamy didnt do anything for once) for jays red , he then reports liverpool players for surrounding the ref .......how many times do you see players do that in the premiership week in and out .... then against bolton , andy carroll scuffs a shot , ..gerrard runs in ready to shoot and is pole axed by reo coker ..and that utter doughnut friend awards a free to reo coker ....i was watching with united supporting mates and they were in bits laughing this guy is just an awful ref.... special mention goes to howard webb..........how mario baltolelli didnt get a red card is beyond b=s ....... also mark clattenburg ....some of his decisions are baffling (especially hand balls )
To be honest I think they are all terrible but if I was to pick one prize clown out of the lot it would be the one that reffed the spur's v stoke game a while back and made about 15 blatant error's. I think it was Chris Foy.
Friend, Dowd, Foy and Atkinson have been pretty bad. The young guy Oliver seems to be a decent ref though.
Mike Dean, Phil Dowd, Chris Foy and Howard Webb (whenever United are involved or a controversial incident occurs he can never remain consistent) in no particular order. Graham Poll and Mike Riley were worse than the lot of them though before they retired their whistles. If you know the name of a referee then you know they're shit. That reminds me, add Scott McBeanie and Hayden fucking Pennyfeather to the list.
I am REALLY worried that th Suarez thing seems to have a lasting affect with us with the FA at the mo Some of the decsions we have got against in the last 2 games have looked bizarre I am REALLY beginning to think that Howard Webb being booed at Anfield is having a negative effect for us.He is DEFINITELY IMO starting to hold a grudge against us,every time we boo, a couple of mins later a absolute stone wall big decision goes against us.Webb, is thinkin, " f**k you" to the kop, your gettin nothin off me for the rest of the game!!!!! Friend more absolute barmy decsions for the Bolton game Atkinson, for the United game waht are the odds of 22 men stayin on the pitch, not far off zero For me now that I know Atkinson is Ref v United , the key to that game is keeping 11 men on the pitch
Talking about refs. How good is than linesbird Sian Masey. She has a damn good eye for the offside. It is impressive how she has a pretty good understanding of that rule considering how women have problem understanding it.
It is quite funny that those two nobheads lost their job over the linesman who seems to have the best grasp of the off side rule, by joking about telling her the offside rule.
My Mrs understands the offside rule better than a lot of my mates who purport to be football fans! Well educated would be my guess.........
