Took Walt Jnr to the open training session today. Lots of positives for the day. Free signed players player cards from last season in the club shop, watching the lads train, and then the signing session afterwards. Most of the players were really smiley and chatty, despite having been sat there for 3 hours by the time my lad got to them. Holden asked if he was free on Saturday when Walk Jnr told him he was a striker. Everyone happy for photos and the like. Usual gripes such as wait times, food running out in the concourse etc but overall a really good effort by the club and players. Memories and heroes made for life in one young tiger.
One of my lads also went today and he too said how good the players were with him, happy to have photos and have small chit chat with him etc. He also said how much happier the players seemed in general compared to the same event last season when Tim was manager.
Took grandkids who are TWS fans due to parentage they loved the whole thing got food, drinks played some games on the concourse etc but it was so bloody freezing - east stand where I sit was bathed in sun unlike the west we had to sit in . Squad looked happy and having fun , you can tell Gelhardt , Joseph and Hughes are best buddies virtually messed around with tricks , cross bar challenge etc on their own !
