Good to see U18 players like Moussa Dembele and George Williams mixing in with the seniors. Missing were our two injured players Dejagah and Enoh and it was interesting that Jol treated this (at least initially) as a normal training session. The players were split into two groups - those that played on Sunday who apparently have two recovery days after a match or so the physio man told us. Yesterday was gym work and today was restricted to the kind of limbering up you see in the pre-match warm up. - the rest who had the limbering up stuff plus practice routines and then a 7-a-side game. [Iâve got to tell you they need an awful lot more practice at crossing - one session involved 3 players on each wing playing little triangular passes before crossing and if one in the hundred or so crosses got past the first defender Iâm a Dutchmanâs uncle. Since it was meant to be a fun day, I wonât name names !] On drawing stumps, as it were, to the training bit all the players joined in that fun signing just about anything and everything. And of course they were all favourites with the fans but only one got his name regularly sung as he moved along the rows please log in to view this image Might be a clue to Player of the Year vote.
