This goes live any minute now, it should be well worth a listen, i'll post the link once it's up! Questions for Bowen have been submitted by the fans, here's what they've tweeted about it so far: "Just finished our interview with Mark Bowen. He answered everything head on. Thanks for all your questions - we asked as many as we could" 43m "Amongst other things he told us about: his frustration with our defending and how it's "everyone's fault" we are in this situation" 42m "He also said that he's not sure on our best XI and that if we had 12 spaces in the team, Ale Faurlin would play every week. Up live soon." 39m Here it is: http://playbackmedia.co.uk/open-all-rs-archive/ Titled- "Mark Bowen Talks (a lot)"
That's probably one of the most insightful interviews detailing goings on at the club i've heard in a long time. It begins on 6.55 and ends 35 minutes later, although the entire podcast is worth a listen! This was recorded earlier tonight so is the most up to date information we've got coming out of the club at the moment.
Cheers grifter mate I listen to this podcast every week but had 8 pint of Stella tonight with my pal from stokey so will need some r&r on the tube to work 2moz lol
No problem Phil glad to hear you're enjoying yourself ! You're in for a treat tomorrow morning, it doesn't disappoint!
Lol im not phil, never was phil, phil was never my old alias on the old 606, cerny was my making and my name ain't phil mate. All that happened was some clown tried to take credit for my info. End off Anyway Yep I'm interested to see what his excuse for such a poor start this season I heard last week they was getting Karl ready on then they joked about mark hately, I'm remember when we signed him under Wilkins I was only 13 and the sick note sent us down, combined with Wilkins it was like watching dumb and dumber
There is that twat finney that goes in there normally he is alright but tends to make a tit of himself when pissed up #justsaying
I'm listening at 16 mins and Mark Bowen is sounding very desperate. I listened to him earlier in the season and he sounded composed. He has lost it for me in this interview.
I've not heard him speak before. He sounds less than confident and he doesn't inspire. How much are we paying this guy?
Not up to 16:22, which is when I began to lose hope. Or, it might be more accurate to say that my worst suspicions were confirmed.
Well... after listening to Mark Bowen in his entirety, I don't think we will go down with this management team at the helm.
Me neither, he did allay some of my fears. That interview could go both ways though, there was definite desperation in his voice for portions of it. I wonder if Ian Taylor will be regretting giving permission for it to go ahead, it was almost too honest at times..
"He also said that he's not sure on our best XI and that if we had 12 spaces in the team, Ale Faurlin would play every week." This, for me, says it all. They really think that the system we're playing is the right one, as Faurlin would be in if we had 3 central midfielders. Beggars belief.
I bet you if he had sounded as bright as a button, speaking very confidently and being up-beat about the situation then the same people who have moaned at his "performance" on Open all R's as being uninspirational and lacking in confidence would be moaning because he was too up beat and deluded. They will get their little dig in no matter what.
True, it's a results business. _________________________________________ My thoughts are he came across as a nice man, but nothing I heard dispelled my believe that him, and his 'Taffia' cohorts are clueless. Hope they prove me wrong starting at Stoke. #HICC
just to add telling statement in there , think it was "We have done very little set piece defending coaching throughout our careers" couldn't tell. As bad as it gets on Sunday.
