Smokescreen or the real deal this time? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...rup-clash-Swansea-board-transfer-targets.html
Load of bollocks. Why would his agent consistently come out and say he's going nowhere if this was true?
Because every time he says he's going nowhere, he seems to feel the need to throw in something along the lines of "but if the club don't strengthen, who knows what can happen". It sounds to me that if he does go, he'll be using our lack of transfer ambition as the reason
So these to quotes, which are in a myriad of other reports Leads to this, now how is it understood that is what I'd like to know. This is just your basic ****e reporter's interpretation
3rd season in the prem, the board do need to start getting some quality players in now to cement us top half/mid. I cant see why they wouldnt do this so hopefully theres nothing to worry about. I for one dont want to see the likes of Monk, Kemy and Moore playing next season unless they had to due to serious injuries and cards and im sure ML thinks the same. Lets get some names signed soon and end this specualation.
Because a Daily Fail journo has written it does that make it more believable than an EP journo? Er...no. Of course it could be true but I'm skeptical. I just don't trust the press.
"Laudrup is not happy with some of the UK-based players that have been suggested to him". Exactly WHO is doing the suggesting? Our manager is the best person qualified to make that sort of decision, so WHO (if anyone) considers they have more expertise to do this than our manager? This is precisely the reason why Laudrup became p****d off in his previous appointments. IF this is happening (it might well be paper talk) then whoever is responsible should cut it out..... NOW!!!!! I would imagine that there will be uproar from the fans if Laudrup walks because of broken promises made by the Board. The other thing that concerns me is that Huw Jenkins is today REPORTED to have said that: "when the time is right we will sit down with Michael and discuss transfers". When the time is right??????? Ffs!! The right time should have already passed. Discussions should have been completed and active moves made in the transfer market, particularly as we will be starting a very tough campaign much earlier than usual. I know all this might be just gossip and rumour but there is an awful lot of smoke here. If Michael Laudrup leaves, our club will have no credibility whatsoever. There will be huge unrest amongst the players and his signings will be queuing up en masse to leave as well. And we can certainly forget all about those potential signings who want to join us because he is our manager. The club must be well aware of all this conjecture, yet we have heard nothing from them. We can but hope that this a tactic devised by the club to keep prices down if there is a smattering of truth in any of this.
Remember the nonsense story of big unrest in the dressing room from last year? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...hael-Laudrup-relieved-Swanseas-win-Wigan.html I only believe what I hear a person say - not newspapers rewrite.
I told you this already...laudrup is not a happy chappie with huw and the board and you cant blame him...he is not the first swans manager who have been let down on promises....They had better play ball with him or he will walk...he needs to be backed 100% if we are to have any chance of staying in the premiership this new season...
IF the story is true then I can see the fans being very upset with our Board, and rightly so. If Laudrup's assessment is that we need to spend bigger this season then that's exactly what we should do. It's not as if we haven't got the money. IF the story is true then Jenkins needs to get it into his head that we can't always do things on the cheap and get lucky.
Dai, aren't you the one who said that if he doesn't improve things in 6 games this season he should be sacked? Is that backing him 100%? Should we be giving him a blank cheque for new signings for just 6 games?
A no story .... for now! The transfer window isnt even open and the majority of our stated targets either have no incumbent manager or are still playing and their clubs dont know where they will be next year yet. We shall see if this has legs in about 1 week!
I dont think you understand anyone's comments on here to be honest sa9......what has huw and the board not getting behind him got to do with he should be sacked if he loses the first 6 games got to do with it..
Its about his targets that he has been working on and now find he wont have enough money is the problem...and believe it its a big problem to him as he wants to do it his way and not the way of huw and the board....This should have been sorted the minute the season ended and to be fair to laudrup he assumed the club would be backing him....As usual huw cant keep his promises.....We will do what we normally do and wait till the last minute and all laudrups targets will be gone if we are not careful.....give him the dosh now and not piss about as the man needs to know where he stands.....
Well you clearly didn't understand my comment so it's a bit rich assuming what I understand. My point is, why do you care if they give him the backing or not if you think they should only give him 6 games anyway?
