All that talk of a new era at Leeds with the defence sorted out after Donny sounded so good, but Coventry was a smack on the nose. We're the same Leeds, the same team that can play like Champions one week and the next we look like relegation contenders. We need to be consistent, no team has every won anything or been promoted playing as inconsistent as we do.

At Donny we passed the ball around, didn't give the ball away easily, put pressure on every Donny attack from the front and the players busted a gut, and then Coventry we played stupid long balls, failed to pass it around enough, lazily strolled around the pitch and instead of pressuring their attacks from the front, we just let them stroll past us as the players made a pathetic attempt to jog after them. :emoticon-0149-no:

I just don't understand why their was such a change in attitude and individual player tactics in one match.

    Against Peterbrough we need to:

    -Pass the ball
    -Keep the ball
-Put pressure on oncoming attacks right from the front
    -No stupid long balls
-Bust a gut, if we stroll around on the pitch against Peterborough like we did Coventry we can forget 3 points.
-Make use of chances, 20 shots on target means nothing, we need to convert and be more clinical.

Any more suggestions on where we go from that disgrace of a performance v Coventry?

yea completely agree, especially about clinical finishing, against donny we were incredibly clinical.

If we do play like we did against donny (i know it was only doncaster but still) more often than not we will be promoted, i have full confidence in that.

From the next 3 games, we should be looking at 7 points i feel.

I hate that we always play aimless passes upfield. Like you say, against Donny we passed it, and it was a fantastic performance. Look at our first team - McCormack, Keogh, Snoddy, Howson, Clayton, Pugh - these are all ball playing footballers! Our two CMs are great on the ball, passing, composed, so I never understand why sometimes the defence hoofs it over them.

Is it tactics or player attitude though...?
