Onuoha: Atmosphere on QPR tour the best in which I've ever played The former Manchester City defender was impressed with the passion displayed by the Green Force supporters inside the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium during their friendly game 24 Jul 2012 08:34:00 By Eric Noveanto Getty ImagesQPR defender Nedum Onuoha has revealed his surprise at the buzz generated by the 55,000 supporters at the Gelora Bung Tomo stadium in a pre-season match against Persebaya Surabaya on Monday. Adel Taarabt and Bobby Zamora secured victory for the Hoops as they came from behind to overcome Persebaya 2-1 after conceding the opening goal to Fernando Soler in their final fixture of their Asian tour, and the former Manchester City man claimed that the atmosphere in the stadium was the best in which he had ever played. "It was incredible from the moment we left the hotel to make our way to the ground, but the atmosphere inside the stadium itself was unreal," Onuoha told the club's official website. "That's the best atmosphere I've ever played in. It wasn't intimidating, because they were friendly in their manner and just really wanted to support their team. "It wasn't really hostile, just incredibly loud, passionate and exciting. "It's great to see how passionate the fans are out here and that's one thing that has really hit home throughout this tour." The 25-year-old defender also insisted that his first visit to Asia had become one of the more memorable times of his life. "I won't forget this trip for a long, long while. Some of the things I've seen and heard will stay with me forever," he added. "The passion that the Asian fans have for football is incredible, and that was epitomised by the Indonesian people last night."
55000 for a friendly good to see they are saying all the nice things about their hosts should play well in the local media
The players have done an excellent PR job. Onouha is very bright and articulate-next club captain maybe?

I tried to make this point in the captain thread a couple of weeks ago and got slaughtered. Nice to see others believe the same, good shout Rebel. Leading by example beats barking out orders loudest any day of the week imo.
Am I right in thinking that we played all three games in our home kit? If so, smart thinking TF. We have heard a lot about how red is a lucky color in the East, but I'm certain if we want to forge a distinctive brand out there the blue and white hoops have to be prominent, they set us apart and are instantly recognizable. Cardiff are now competing with Liverpool, Utd, Bayern, Arsenal and others in the red zone, no hope.
