The Telegraph selected their top 10 Gerrard goals ( I think they did only PL)..... did they miss any? CL nights? Europa nights? Anything they miss? Got some vids? Liverpool v Sheffield Wednesday: December 5, 1999 Steven Gerrard, after making his Liverpool debut against Blackburn Rovers in November 1998, failed to make an early impact at Anfield as he provided midfield cover for the injury-prone Jamie Redknapp. On December 5, 1999, though, Gerrard, in his 23rd league appearance for the club broke his duck with a wonderful individual effort in Liverpool's 4-1 defeat of Sheffield Wednesday at Anfield. After receiving the ball from Rigobert Song, the midfield tyro charged forward before taking on two defenders and firing the ball across the face of the goal to send the Kop into raptures. Liverpool v Southampton: January 1, 2001 With much of Anfield, no doubt, nursing a hangover from the night before, Gerrard ushered in the new millennium on Jan 1, 2001, in much the same way as he would live out the rest of the decade - and beyond: by scoring a spectacular long-range goal. Paul Jones, the Southampton goalkeeper, was left helpless after Gerrard rifled one in off of the crossbar with a trademark 35-yard dipper. Everton v Liverpool: September 15, 2001 Liverpool had fallen behind to an early Kevin Campbell goal but this wonder strike from Gerrard inspired a fightback that saw the Reds turn the match around and leave from Goodison Park as 3-1 winners. Liverpool v Manchester United: March 31, 2001 This was the year of the Treble, but for Liverpool fans, there were few moments in that great season as purely enjoyable as Stevie smashing home this 16th-minute screamer. Robbie Fowler added a second and Liverpool did the league double over United for the season. Liverpool v Middlesbrough: April 30, 2005 On this day, Chelsea won the League - Liverpool would eventually finish 37 points behind the leaders, in fifth, so this cracking volley from Gerrard was really best enjoyed for its own net-bulging, swerving merits than for any influence on the title race. A few weeks later, though, there was the small matter of a game in Istanbul... Aston Villa v Liverpool: August 11, 2007 Liverpool had lead at Villa Park until the 85th minute, when a Gareth Barry penalty levelled the match up at 1-1. With just three minutes remaining, up stepped Gerrard with this wicked freekick, which delivered the three points to a delighted travelling support. Newcastle v Liverpool: March 19, 2006 As we all know, this fixture - in which Gerrard yesterday scored his 100th Premier League goal - has produced some thrillers. This season, it was one to forget for our friends in the north east: they were beaten home and away. Gerrard scored the second at St James' Park, his crisp strike capping an excellent team move from the visitors as they ran out 3-1 winners. Liverpool v Middlesbrough: August 23, 2008 A hard-working performance by Liverpool looked to be furnishing them with no better than a point, the scores locked at 1-1 after 90 minutes. A trademark Gerrard strike from the edge of the box said otherwise. Liverpool v Everton: March 13, 2012 Gerrard scored the opener in a 3-0 win. Unlike some of the other strikes on this list, this goal showed his intelligence rather than his power - spotting Tim Howard off his line and chipping the Everton goalie with a deft left-footer. This clip is definitely worth watching for the commentator alone... Liverpool v Man United: September 23, 2012 Great technique from Gerrard as he controls the ball and volleys it home through a crowded penalty area to give Liverpool the lead against the old enemy.
Liverpool v West Ham FA Cup Final 2006 - scored the equaliser 3-3 to take it to pens, Liverpool win 3-1. If we're talking CL then Liverpool v Olympiakos 3-1, 2004 Best ever - ISTANBUL
There are loads to be fair!! I really like the free-kick he smashed in against Newcastle and the one he smashed in from the right against Borough which I see is on here. Olympiakos and West Ham are the obvious ones.
