For the fact that we're in for another season of L1 Roland. Not Bowyer, not Robinson, Roland. He took over a Championship side with a large committed supported and will hopefully leave us with a pile of debt, a weak squad which needs rebuilding, a decimated support and a future in L1. It will take time to recover from the disease, but I'm looking forward to my S/T as soon as the takeover is announced.

I reckon that the Takeover could happen quite soon now. I agree 100 per cent in FHBs post. Duchatelet has been an absolute disaster. Time to **** off Roland and take burger boy Keohane with you.

Agree 1000%. Douche has systematically pulled the club apart from day one. Asset stripping constantly and killing us as a competitive club. He should never set foot not only into another football club but into sport in general. He has zero interest in sport.

A promotion this season would have been a bonus, something out of nothing. It would have been shocking for Douche to reap the benefits. Take over ASAP please and keep Bowyer. If so, next season will bring a greater return in this awful division.

Hi Dick. I reckon I’m the original WellingAddick. I say this as I’ve noticed another WellingAddick either on CL or ITTV. I grew up in Welling and now live in the Elephant (nice and cosy with our wonderful neighbours - although most of them now live in Kent)). Perhaps I should rename myself ElephantAddick. I used to post, very rarely, on the old BBC 606 Charlton page a few years back. I’m more of a viewer here and check out all of the very interesting posts on this here site almost daily, eager to contribute. I guess enough was enough today.

Once we’re rid of Douche we’ll prosper... it can’t get any worse surely???!!!

I think our players get off too lightly. They are well paid by League 1 standard - we have a few on £8,000 a week. Who really showed up over the play off semis ?

A few individual thoughts - Konsa is a mile off being a Premier League player. He really would be well advised to get another 50 games under his belt with us.

Bowyer deserves the job next season but he massively fvcked up the tactics over the play offs. We were too passive, too lethargic and too narrow. No pace or creativity anywhere in that team.

Finally, the carthorse Magennis should watch a DVD of their No.9 Curtis Browne...not only did he score, over 180 mins he bullied our back line. What a contrast to passive, slow Josh.

Beyond ironic that Gobbo was the Sky pundit for our game yesterday.

That Frankenstein’s monster of a team he built - pet name - Tippy Tappy - unravelled before the nation’s eyes.

To think that Gobbo’s Big Idea was a team full of lightweight yet creative players ....and we barely created a single chance in 180 mins of football.

It's no more than typical of the way Sky operates.

They wanted somebody in the commentary box who had a recent connection to one of the Clubs, preferably an ex-manager. Since Paul Hurst has been Shrewsbury manager since October 2016 Karl Robinson was the obvious choice. Whoever chose him would not have been concerned with how popular Robinson may or may not be with Charlton supporters.

Perhaps Sky could have exercised a bit more effort and imagination and tried to secure Chris Powell for the job, or even Phil Parkinson as he was our manager the last time we were in the League One play-offs. But both of those managers have not been associated with Charlton for quite a while now, and to many neutral viewers their connection with the game being shown would probably be too tenuous.
For similar reasons Sky would not bother to try to get in a former Shrews manager such as Micky Mellon.

Karl Robinson was the easy and obvious choice, so they booked him.
To some Charlton fans it was no doubt a bitter irony. Personally it did not bother me, though I'll admit I did not listen to anything Robinson said.

My point was that the Mad Scientist got to watch as his invention unravelled.

    Gobbo’s star signings - Reeves....Marshall.....Caskey.....Mavididi .....KaiKai......Zyro......all universally sh1te.

    I see what you mean.

Wonder if Robinson will ever go into detail about why his squad was falling so short by the time he decided to leave Charlton. It's not difficult to tell there was more going on than the fans ever knew about.
But it's all in the past now. It will soon be time to look towards our 2018-19 League One campaign.
