Yes is that mad time of the year which is just round the corner what do my fellow posters like in there late Christmas stockings Out Norris Hunt Morison Ajose Thompson loans Wooton Sloth Murphy Ins Knockeart Woods both Leicester Gradel if fit and Keith Andrews now I recommended him to SG but he was signed by Ipswich having spoken about him to Chris Hutchings earlier this year I still think he could do a job for us provided wqe put a performance clause in his contract otherwise no deal.I think he has had it too easy but if he got his finger out would be just what we need in central mid field What wouyld you like in your stocking Glory probably want Ed Balls
leeds60 - I respect your opinions and I know you have laboured the point of who you would like to see come to the club in numerous threads, each time you are told we have a transfer embargo you ignore it? Do you believe it won't happen? http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....at-risk-of-january-transfer-embargo-1-6941760
Yes sir you are right as far as Im concerned there will be no embargo by the way young Chippy you are old as you feel so Im younger than you!
IF we play like we did against Derby then we don't need any new players until the summer so the embargo really doesn't bother me as long as it is just January. I still believe we are a long way from making the play off's but let this core continue together and see what happens. We still have a lot of young players that might break into the team, throwing in more players when this bunch are still developing might do more harm than good. We are not going to change formation, wishing for wide players will leave you constantly left wanting and NO MORE central midfield players, we have enough to put out two squads. Next summer I wouldn't mind a real quality striker, if Taylor isn't going to challenge Warnock then we might need to consider this for next season and the keeper, Silvestre worries me, I don't believe he is the answer in goal.
Ristac Chippy some body better tell Redders he cant have any players in the New Year because according to him today he wants a wide boy at least so whose right now
Sorry I thought you meant the reserve keeper lol Well someone needs to have an urgent word with him then. Clubs had until Monday just gone to supply the Football League with their accounts for the 2013-14 season. These are the accounts which determine what clubs have breached their FFP regulations. If we have lost £8m in a financial year then we will have the embargo, at a loss of £1m a month before Cellino came in I would say that it is a pretty fair bet and as Ross was sold after April 6th so we cannot include his money, it might even impact our loans with a view to purchase.
See Redders at todays press conference when he hints at getting at least a wide boy Also if MC can prove that we have 23m invested since these accounts were out and a further 12.5m in transfers for Ross Smith and Lees how can they possibly place an embargo
The cut off is the end of each tax year,Ross money ect count for this year but not last. Its not how much money you have or can get its how much the football accounts are down [loss or profit]you can only make an £8 million loss, more than that brings a transfer ban.We lost £20 million. The fact Cellino can afford it isn't taken into account.
Seems like we will have a transfer embargo, due to the previous owners. If we could get round it somehow,I would only want QUALITY,and not on loan. We just had 15 new players, the young lads are finding their feet, Max in 2 players but top quality, not 'squad players', And no loans to get other teams players fit. We seem to have a base to work from. QUALITY NOT QUANTITY.
So, this January, we will be signing no one. Hardly much different to the last decade so doesn't bother me
