Head coach excited by the release of next season's fixtures. please log in to view this image City’s 2013/14 fixture list will be unveiled in a week’s time. For football fans up and down the country who miss the national game during the close season, it’s one of the most eagerly-anticipated days of the year. The details will be made public at 9am on Wednesday, June 19th on bcfc.co.uk, two days after the draw for the first round of this season’s Capital One Cup competition. Head coach Sean O’Driscoll said: “I know it’s a day fans normally look forward to. “I normally start by looking at who we begin the season against, where we finish the campaign and then the Christmas fixtures.“After that I look through to see the Saturday-Tuesday or Tuesday-Saturday combinations and the logistical things. “Things will probably be a little tighter this year with no international breaks, and the addition of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.” http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/20130612-sodonfixtures-861154.aspx What are the first games you look for on the fixture list..? mine is first game, then the first 10, then the Xmas break games, it won't be long...Up the City..
you couldn't find a picture of SOD wearing a city tracksuit then always look at the boxing day fixture first Edit........We're here to please...
I always look at the first and matches of the season (and see if we're starting/finishing home or away), Xmas/New Year and Easter games; and up to last season I always looked for the games within 100 miles of Leeds (where I used to live) - Barnsley, Sheffs, Burnley, Hull etc.
I would have thought it would be easier this year without the International breaks not so many games crammed into the remaining weeks although a run in the tin pot trophy could cause a few problems but hey the posability of another trip to wembly has to be something to look forward to
I don't want a tough away opening day fixture, or rather one where we might come unstuck and look stupid.... So no thanks to Crawley, Tranmere, Gillingham, Sheff U, Bradford, Wolves etc !!!
Going to Wolves, Sheff Utd or Swindon and winning would really get the confidence flowing both in the team and the fans If we could do that we might be in for a good season.
