Tal Ben Haim, Dave Kitson and Liam Lawrence are still on the books at Fratton Park. The administrator has previously said that if they don't go by the 10th then he will have no option but to close the club down. So.... Where will the three of them go? When will they go? Will they go? Who will take them? What will the position be in August 11th? What are your hopes and fears for this time next week?
I hope we can offload them to a club that owes us a favour, Leeds amongst others I could mention maybe? I hope Pompey City Council agree to lend the Trust the £1.45 mn it needs, if BC can be bought off for £2.75mn. I fear he will not accept this and really fear he will choose to liquidate, as he has a secured debt and MAY eventually get closer to £5mn. With little news coming out from the club or the Administrator I really fear the worst. My veins and arteries will, however, continue whatever happens, to course with blue blood.PUP
Doesn't look good Devo, whatever way you look at it. Goodness knows who wants them / willing to pay for them / pay their inflated wages / give them a contract / pander to their needs, etc. I wish the Trust could come up with the readies to take the club over, and bring PFC out of Administration - that would be the ideal solution, as long as we can offload the three remaining players under contract. Will this happen ?..........where's Mystic Meg when you need her ?
There's a rumour that West Ham may make an offer to Tal Ben Haim but, even if true, is it enough to pursuade him to compromise with Trevor Birch. As an additional comment, I was appalled by the booing of TBH at Aldershot on Wednesday. A brainless provocation that will hardly incentivise him to compromise - I could understand him thinking F you all then. I never have and never will boo anyone in a Pompey shirt and I actually thought momentarily, perhaps it is best we do go down the tubes if this is the best we can do. Also, the mindless chant of 'you thieving b******, get out of our club'. I think you'll find all the thieving B******s have gone, hence the crock of cack we find ourselves drowning in.
Looks like you finally may have a decent committed chairman coming in, he may not have pots of cash but if he is a fan then it cannot be so bad. Good luck.
