With the transfer window slamming shut in just over a weeks time and just one more Gillingham match before the 31st we have only added 2 new players (not counting Hewitt who was technically already with us. Surely you would think that by the way Peter Taylor was talking before the transfer window, more players may still arrive before the end of the window. In the lower leagues there are usually a flurry of people being released at the end of the window so they can find new clubs for the rest of the season. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw another defender and striker arrive soon and would probably guess they are still currently at other clubs! Anybody agree or feel that we may actually be finished in the transfer window?
The thing is,whoever we get will be on loan,so once the window shuts for permanent transfers, it opens again a week later for loans. If we haven't got anyone in by next week, there's no need to panic.
A very fair point vinney but if we keep only getting loans, the squad won't have time to settle and the constant comings and goings may unsettle the squad if we keep depending on them.
We may also have to wait to ship Birchall out and perhaps Charlie Allen before more people can be brought in.
