This time next week the A14 will have a familiar look about it, as the yellow army set out once again on the first leg of their epic U.K. tour, supporting the boys in yellow.

I posted a chart from Easyodds recently showing us fifth faves to win the league - this shows the current odds on winning promotion <ok>

    http://easyodds.com/online-betting/...pionship-odds/championship-201415/be-promoted

So anyone got butterflies yet? Or are we all old campaigners that have been there done that too many times to feel the buzz of 'new season' anticipation?

I have a mate who supports Huddersfield, with who I've had a straight £20 bet that we finish higher in the table than they do :emoticon-0112-wonde

Looking increasingly likely that we'll lose Fer. But will we lose anyone else? And do we have acceptable replacements pencilled in? (O'neill in on a freebie is not acceptable for losing Fer for big money, imho)
We'll find out all these answers soon enough now. OTBC!

i'm expecting a lot more goals (probably at both ends) but a bit less quality and some much closer games but i can't say i'm particularly excited by the forthcoming season. obviously i wasn't exactly enamoured with the new managers arrival but i can live with that. to be honest i think this dates back to the middle of last season when i was verbally and very nearly physically abused for NOT booing my own team after drawing, yes that's right DRAWING a football match. it kind of takes the enjoyment out and i've not looked forward to ANY norwich game since... hopefully a fresh start in a new division will stop some of our supporters acting like total pricks and we can all enjoy a fun and ultimately successful campaign <ok>

Yes CC, I'm getting quite excited at the thought of a new season on the horizon.

If the evidence of the game on Friday night is anything to go by, then as Supers says - "we'll see lots more goals at both ends". Whilst we looked good going forward, I still feel there are large gaps in defence and NA HAS to take steps to plug these. I agree with Supers that Rusty is a better RB than CB, but I get the feeling that barring injuries, then we'll just have to get used to him playing CB and unless Whittaker can improve from his woeful performance on Friday, we'll be in bother when we're being attacked by our opponents left.

´Excited´ is maybe not quite the right word
Like Super, I feel that the drop,
Took wind from the sails of this once chirpy bird
After a season that was a flop,
The first thoughts of Championship football again
Did not fill me with much glee,
But as we get nearer to the start, well then
Hopes are high for success naturally,
But expectancy levels I´m holding in check
As this is a comparatively new,
Adventure for most, so the occasional wreck
I dare say will hove into view,
Interested and curious would sum up I think
My feelings as regards this year,
With excitement ready, just there on the brink
To add, if we have much to cheer. OTBC

I try to be clam and rational about the whole thing but as soon as preseason starts I find myself getting excited and this season is no different. Especially as I'm hoping to be able to go to more matches this year.
I too found that last year somewhat quenched my enthusiasm, it was generally either dull or poor. The new season should hopefully bring some excitement with it.

Still feeling a bit disappointed about being out of the Premier League but I'm still looking forward to the new season.

I looking forward to not seeing the Premier league histrionics week in week out every time someone sneezes near the player with the ball.

I'm thinking that there will be much better value from games as the entertainment factor rises.

I could do with a few more weeks. With the World Cup and all I feel like I haven't had enough of a break from football.

I bet we'll all miss Snoddy running down blind alleys, throwing himself to the deck and waving one arm above his head before hitting the resultant corner straight to the first defender. And then remonstrating with any official within earshot? <doh>
Onwards and upwards - hopefully. With pace, vision and distributing to well placed team mates to optimum effect <ok>
Joking aside, will be interesting to see what he brings to the Hull party and how/where he'll be utilised by Steve Bruce.

I will just be happy to see some league football again.

With any luck, City will remain in a fairly high position all season, and then we will get loads more games streamed over here <ok>

I am excited about winning away matches and scoring goals something we didn`t do the last 2 seasons.
We desperately need a very good CB but other than that we have a balanced team.
At the moment we have a squad good enough to win the league and i am fully behind Adams especially after the goal fest pre season work out, i could even handle losing RVW on loan as long as we could recall him in January if he hits form but nobody else should be allowed to leave or i for one would feel short changed.

I appreciate your point and Snodgrass could be massively frustrating at times.

However, for me, he was really only bad when the team was playing awfully and he got frustrated with the lack of effort and passion.

I will forever remember Snodgrass as the biggest contributor to our two seasons in the Premier League under Hughton. In multiple matches in both seasons, he carried our team and single-handedly won points time and again. Even in the games he didn't impact on so much, I will never forget his honest passion, tireless work-rate and unflappable belief that effort would be rewarded.

For me, like Holt was the biggest legend of Lambert's years, Snodders was the biggest legend of Hughton's (and that's no back-handed compliment - it's easy to forget we had some fantastic games under Hughton). Both were cut of similar cloth. Both left at the right time in their Norwich careers. Both had similar things that frustrated me about them. But I'd rather see both on my own team than the opposition. And for all their occasional mistakes, they both earned every penny the supporters paid to watch them play. I'm not sure I can give them a bigger compliment than that.

I don't know them so cannot judge their personalities, though through rumours and their behaviour on the pitch I'm sure there are aspects to them I wouldn't like, but I would be delighted to buy either of them a beer and have a chat about their Norwich experience.
