We haven't got the players to warrant playing one up front system, too many times we were forced to go backwards due to the lack of support up front, it didn't work under Warnock when he tried, and didn't work that well under Hughes. Hopefully we will be back to two up front with Cisse back. Not saying the players didn't play well, but I think Zamora needed more support.

you will play with 2 up front, but everton usually play with a 5 man midfield, so you have to counter that, what a game the next one is

Can't see anything wrong with todays tactics. We created more than enough to win it, and at the same time kept it under controll at the back. Playing one up front wasn't the reason why we only scored once, lack of composure and confidence was. But todays performance should help in both the confidence and composure departments in the future imo.

It allowed Taarabt and Buzskaky some freedom. I thought he got the tactics spot on but I expect it to go back to 4-4-2 next week.

We played 1 up front because we didnt have anyone else half decent to play with Zamora. Im sure it will be 2 up front when Cisse comes back.

There's quite a bit there I just can't agree with.
You say we haven't got the players to warrant playing 4-2-3-1 today....BUT that was exactly the position we were in! We had to match them man for man in midfield and it worked really well. It also allowed Taarabt and Barton to get forward. When they changed to 4-4-2 we did the same, bringing on Mackie.
You say warnock tried it and it didn't work....WE WON THE LEAGUE PLAYING 4-2-3-1 FFS!!
If Buzz had stuck away an absolute sitter we'd have won imo.
MH will probably go back to 4-4-2 next week when Cisse returns, but he could play him as one of the 3 behind BZ, in place of SWP?

It didn't seem that Zamora was on his own so much, that has been the case in past games the tactics were correct and there always seemed to be someone supporting apart from one time he had to go it alone.

That was arguably our best performance this season.
Zamora did everything we could of asked of him.
Whenever he was on the ball we had players up supporting him.
We created 23 scoring oppotunities with 10 on target.
What with Hill solid at the back and Onouha and Traore growing every game it gives us hope.
Everyman did his duty today/yesterday, we were seriously unlucky not to win.
