It always adds a touch of spice When ex-bosses return our way, So I´ll not begin to think twice In calling this a mouth-watering fray And no doubt they´ll both talk it down As being ´just another game´, But if either should take the crown They´ll feel like big points in the frame And fair to say we owe them one After last year´s 2- 1 reverse, And this time, if Gabby should run I hope the end product is worse But we now have more firepower Although as yet, most have been blanks, And cometh the man on the hour Well then he´d be showered in thanks For my part, I´m longing to see The Hooper/van Wolfswinkel pair, Be more than just slightly tricky For defences everywhere And surely the time is now in To see what both of them can do, As in tandem, they look to spin Off each other, and score a few While up at the A. Villa end Benteke has proven before, He´s one on whom they can depend If at any time they must score So this has the makings, I´d say To be quite a tasty old treat, The ingredients are all okay For both parties to end replete. Hi RBF, heart says we will win, head says they've won the last two here in league and cup so I'm thinking we'll win, but if we lose it won't be the end of the World, in spite of what some would have you believe!
Hi RBF bor, nice to see you quill has not lost its touch ! In my estimation this will be a good one to win but being realistic a draw looks to be on the cards. Hope our lads learnt from the previous encounter and keep a check on Villa's fast breaking counter attacking tactics. Regards to the King of Denmark.
good stuff rbf i know we lost both home games against the villa last season but they were both very even matches, despite the misleading score line in the cup. in fact, had steve morison (remember him?) had his shooting boots on i think the score would have been the other way around!! we should have won the match at villa park while the league match at carrow road was very even, could have gone either way, but we got caught with a sucker punch on the break at the death - i can't see us losing this time out but as with every premier league game, victory will have to be hard earned
We were certainly without both Turner and Ruddy for the 2-1 defeat at the end of last season, and possibly others I can´t remember, and our attacking options are much better now, so I think I´m going for a slim win.
