same old.. same old.. home form, thought we'd at least draw , still cannot move away from the bottom when weve had enough chances
Playing for the full half would help us too but though we are getting results away I don't see that being a regular thing. Typically LeFondre scored (someone we really ought to have signed imo - swap with McQuoid would have been good). I think away teams are going to know that coming to the Den will be easier than it used to be and will play like a home side I dare say.
good to see keogh scoring which is a pluse, didnt expect to beat reading in honesty as their flying at the mo but thought we'd get a point, hope our away form continues at peter boro
The first half we played really well henry was running the show, they scored in first half injury time it seemed to knock the stuffing out of us ,we had nothing in the second half just a few long range shots, then craig and forde got in a mix up and that was that, nothing but a win know on tuesday against peterborough will do.
We seriously need something from Pboro or we will be lost from the main and in what will seriously look like any 3 from 8 and with Coventry and Forest now finding form and with teams below us with games in hand we could be in an any 3 from 6 problem so COYL kick some ass.
Just back...... Last season we were able to outwit the top teams at the Den. Not so currently. First half we matched them and there was very little in it. Good goal by Keogh. As Mr M says, Henry is playing really well, is very pumped up and getting a lot of attention from his former colleagues. They were building pressure at the end of the half. And you're thinking 'just get in 1-0 up'. Boozer tried to clear and it hit TC's arse - and there's the corner. Fordey is getting grief from Roberts (think he would have dealt better with that a few seasons back) and he punches the corner clear - straight to one of theirs and it's 1-1 at the break. Second half is a lot more ragged on our side and Henry gets a yellow. He then gets an elbow on his head in front of us - but no card for them. Refs seem to think the crowd will intimidate them - and so they need a lot of convincing for an away side booking. Watching Sarginson 'striding out' 10 yards against us and then 'walking' 10 yards for them...typical. We start to lose our shape and then there's the mix-up for the goal - and it's 'goodnight Vienna'. No complaints about commitment on our side.Team gave their all. Just total frustration. Bit of a rumble on the way back that cheered me up....but it was 'Bad Day at the Den' and we're running out of games.
Nice one Digger fair sum up i think just booked my flights im coming back for the leeds game, hoping to meet a few for a sherbert somewhere
