At least we can be sure that all of Jewell's cronies will be packing their bags pretty sharpish after that mess today! This loss today had Paul Jewell's finger prints all over it. Either Jewell was relying on Hutchings for his tactics or Hutchings was just following what Jewell would have done but either way it is a total shambles. Starting 4-5-1 Again! Playing Martin on the right and Murphy on the left! Playing DJ Up on his own when we all know that he isn't a target man. Please let the next manager be Mick McCarthy he will soon sort out this shower of ****e.

As I said on another post, I hope the next manager uses the players in their best positions. As far as I'm concerned, Martin, Murphy and Chopra can all leave. Carson and Carlos on the wings, DJ and JET (until Taylor's back) up top, Ainsley in at right back.

    After the game hutchings said

"It’s going to be very hard I think, no matter who takes over. If they can new players in it will help because that’s what’s needed"

considering we just got 8 new players in the last 2 months, it really shows how badly the team has been managed recently.

Ipswich Til I Die my friend and I don't expect any pity from you. If we go down then so be it, life goes on and we will get back to basics and rediscover some of the founding priniciples that the original football club was based on. I will be supporting Ipswich long after these clowns have all ****ed off. <ok>

McCarthy jwm? Are you sure. I like him to the fact he says it as it is but not the greatest record. I'd like to see someone like hoddle. Seriously worried now about our season now.

Sorry, can't agree with Carson. He (along with most of the team admittedly) was shocking today. Thought he was the worst player on the pitch (maybe Murphy / Wellens ran him close).
I would like to see us playing 3 CBs. its not my preferred formation but neither Edwards nor cresswell are good enough as full backs in a 4-4-2 & look like they would both be more comfortable as wing backs. With our present squad, I would line up like this
    Loach
    Chambers Higginbotham Moshni (CBs)
    Edwards Cresweell (Wing backs)
    Hyam, Reo-Coker, JET/Martin
    DJ + Ellington/Scotland

    Royston,
Are you Jewell? one bad game and you're out (re Carson) Millsy said Carson did quite well and that's all I've got to go on from the match.
What I was saying was that I want to see wingers played as wingers, defenders as defenders etc and Martin, Murphy and JET aren't wingers and shouldn't be played there.
I suppose you'd rather we played a loanee there instead of giving Josh a chance.

I'm looking forward to seeing some new teams next season. Oh, and maybe now Col U have started winning games we can reprieve our second choice local derby.

Of course, if we stay up, we can look forward to our first choice local derby...

And with our attendances this season, Naaaridge's away ticket allocation at Portman Road will be circa 13,000. It's win/win for both teams.

I would love to see young players given the chance. However, the team is at such a low ebb at the moment, I fear for Carson if all the weight is put on his shoulders. I would have him on the bench & as I've said, with the players we've got, would play wing backs rather than wingers. I wouldn't have Murphy in the squad as I don't think he fits - he's not a winger & I almost feel sorry for him stuck out at left midfield.
