their are many problems with the bcfc board, and one big one is they keep ****e managers too long,a lot of fans say they cant afford to sack them, but it would be financialy better to stay in the championship, hope we can keep SOD
I think SOD shall prove his worth next season. My only worry is he will do so well with us till January then walk away and move to a championship club as that is the time of year many get sacked. I hope he is in it for the long run and I hope he makes us a success
It's always difficult when deciding to get rid of a manager - it can be just as bad to act in haste - look at Blackburn
I don't think getting rid of managers has been our problem, hiring ones that are not good enough for the job has been where we have let ourselves down. Let's give SOD time to see what he can do, remember Ferguson was ****e when he first went to united now look at them!! Onwards and downwards, the hopefully upwards!!!
It is a big problem for us that for too long the club has been ran badly at every stage. The academy and youth teams get results but we are told they arent good enough yet beat premiership youth teams all round the country. The first team has been shocking too long with the wrong players let go and the wrong players brought in. Recent example is cisse released and morris brought in to replace. McInnes should have gone months before which if he was we would have also has a different manager at the helm so things would be different again. I read in the daily star online page today and Rogers at Liverpool was saying that they need to follow the dortmund model as they were a team who had to borrow money from other cluba to pay for wages and 5 years later they have won the league for the last few years and are in champions league semi final. He said that people will look at his team but he looks at the whole club. Possibly not the managers the fans there would have wanted but if they give him the time he might build something. For us we need to do something similar and getting relegated could be a blessing if it allows ua to rebuild as a whole club as if we stay up 90% of those players will still be there where if we go down 90% will go
Mckinnes did everything possible to keep Cisse and offered all he was able to financially, He said on may occasions the best offer he could give was on the table to Cisse and he only had to sign it. The man wanted to move on, he could do no more about it. this is one of the fundamental reasons we have failed so badly this season, we have not had an effective DM in front of the defence.
That is my big worry as said previous.i hope he stays and sorts this club out. We need to realise we have a bloody decent manager at long last.
