As far as I can determine we need just one more point......

to guarantee a place in the play-offs - if you like that sort of thing.

......and thats only if we lose every game and fleetwood and southend win all theirs because they are the only teams outside the playoffs who can catch us

Not being one that likes to tell people they might be wrong, maybe you would like to have a recount <whistle>

Personally it wouldn't surprise me if we have enough points right now for auto promo.
It will be interesting to see if 3 other teams end up with more than 75 points.
I think it will be a low year points-wise for auto's and the title. Hope that's us.

Bradford have the possibility to reach 78 points (unlikely I know) but still mathematically possible, so we need 3 more points, 4 if you don't want to rely on goal difference to make the playoffs.

Vale have the potential to get 88 points, so 14 points would give us the league title. (this doesn't allow for the head to head games in the top 7)

Northampton have the potential for 86 points, so 11 points 12 to avoid goal difference will guarantee promotion.

    brb - don't be pedantic ( that's the job of BSG !)
Bradford have yet to play Southend, Northampton, Rotherham, Burton & Cheltenham. There is NO way that both Bradford & Southend can achieve 78. ( yes, one of them can ) -Fleetwood can only get a maximum of 76 but have to play Rotherham & Southend ( as well as ourselves ) - so not enough teams CAN better 76 points to prevent us from occupying one of the play-off places if we get one more point
    you know I'm alwaysright.

Your right SirKeefy, I said to my lad yesterday that although it will go unrecognised that was probably the three points that just assured us auto promotion.

We have six league games remaining but it would take four games minimum to knock us out of the autos.

But of course - and you can explain to brb that I'm alwaysright, on Saturday when he ventures outside of Kent.
He got a shock when I told him he couldn't use his bus pass to go to Fleetwood.

There's still a few more games that involve the top 7 playing each other. Cheltenham for example have Vale on Friday and then have us, Northampton and Exeter still to play. Vale have also got to play Northampton and Burton so everyone's going to drop points between now and the end of the season.

With that in mind, I don't think we need many points to seal promotion but to win it, I think another 7-10 points should do it.

Jeez I tell yer, I could spend that length of time on an aeroplane and be somewhere really hot at the end of the journey. And once at my destination I get to spend at least two weeks before the return journey. Thinking about it I suppose knowing alwaysright he'll probably arrange for the coach to leave me there <laugh>

Then to make me really happy I find out what time I have to get up in the morning <wah> I'm going to be grumpy.

I don't know about a bus pass they need to have the flaming medics ready for when I arrive!
