I do worry that he'll either do exactly the same (probably surviving longer than 33 mins) or be too scared to do anything (based on the assumption that he's been torn a new one) that he'll just jog around ineffectively for the duration.
He's gonna find it difficult to adapt premierleague speed and i have to say he wont till the end of the season.
PL Speed? He looked pretty quick to me. I don't believe they tackle like that in the French league either, and when he played for Mali in the Africa Cup he didn't seem to be tackling like that. MH needs to sort this sort of thing out before it's too late.
**** me give him a chance i thought he was great on Saturday and it was the pace of that one game a local Derby not the overall pace of the premiership which is much slower than the Championship for a fact. He looks like the answer to me and I am pleased he only got a one match ban
Just in time for Cisse to get sent off again? I don't know what you lot can base your assessment of Diakite on. Played for 33 minutes, gave the ball away, not effective enough to stop a goal, made a series of clumsy and ill timed challenges resulting in getting sent off. If he lasts 90 minutes and bosses a game that we win and don't concede a goal then his performance can be judged but based on what we got to see on Saturday I can only say the jury is still out.
Looked very sharp and just what we need in the middle of the park at the moment. Sending off and dodgy tackles aside, I thought he looked very promising, just a shame he's missing the Everton match now. @Grove - He barely gave the ball away at all? Looked composed on the ball, picked out some nice passes and did a couple of driving runs where he ghosted past the Fulham players easily.... funny how things look so different to people. Obviously his tackling wasn't great, but that's easy to iron out.

"" I'd also love to hear Danny Murphy's thoughts on the amount of red cards Rangers are picking up under his old gaffer. I don't know about you, but I'm sick of seeing Hughes sending out his players 'too pumped up'. He was in charge of the dirtiest Blackburn side Lancashire has ever seen and is at it again in west London. What a guy! ""
http://www.skysports.com/opinion/story/0,,12086_7551844,00.html TF is apparently asking the same questions as us: "" QPR are never going to win football matches if they play with 10 men every week I had a chat with Tony Fernandes before Saturday's game with Fulham and I had a chat with him at Wembley and I felt so sorry for him. He's staying positive, but he can't help but wonder why nobody told Samba Diakite to calm down. He was flying in for challenges all over the place, even though he'd been booked, and he should know that the game isn't played like that in this country any more. Joey Barton and the other lads should have had a few words with him because they need everybody on the pitch. They keep shooting themselves in the foot. ""
