I think we put so much emphasis on attack, we are always going to concede goals and when we don't score we really are in trouble!
When Mike Walker was our manager - PL in the 90's, attacking to opponents to death was his policy. It worked really well for a while but when we did come unstuck we generally did it in style. Arsenal away 0-5, Blackburn Away 1-7 are brilliant examples.
In the Championship, and maybe in any other league an emphasis on attacking well probably get you so far but also probably not quite all the way.
Peterborough Utd in League 1 this season are perfect examples. Scored goals for fun but also conceded a bucket load of them. End result - play offs instead of an auto spot.
