Barkely is top notch talent. I wonder if you'll sell him on too quick or what?

    Anyway.... Felliani.. <laugh>

I think he will come good for them (Fellani) they just need to give him more time

I think he's feeling the affects of what we had with Downing, Carroll, Henderson at first and numerous other players of having to move up for a gear becuase you're playing for a better team with hell of a lot more expectation

Sorry but I think you're being very optomistic. Fellani, IMO, does not have the skill set to meet the midfield needs of United.

I know Tobes doesn't agree but play Fellani off the Striker and he is a better player.

Everton are just a Man Utd feeder club, and Utd certainly can't attract top class foreign talent any more (even with the Champions League). So I guess it will come down to how weak a manager Martinez is.

  9. If I remember correctly, Felliani took a while to settle when he joined Everton too. We were calling him a £15m flop wasn't we...?

Agree but that does encourage the team to hit the long ball too.

Firstly, despite seeing the Mancs whining about him & it being mildly amusing, the lad is a top quality player.

I watched him first hand for 5 years & know exactly how good he can be on his day.

When he first came to us, he looked a waste of dosh for around a season, until he adapted to the pace of the PL & worked on his tackling.

He was most noticeable last season when playing off the front man in a 4-4-1-1 formation, however that's not his best position imo.

He's at his best when playing in a midfield 3, but when someone else is playing the holding role & he can push forward when he wants, but can also drop off & assist the DM. That way you get the best of both his defensive qualities & the threat he creates in the opposition box.

As for Barkley, the lad has already said he's going to take Gerrards advice & stay at his boyhood club.

Yeah we'll see, I fear this mould of player has well and truly been broken and the mould thrown into the fire!

  13. Unless Everton get a takeover then they're not going to be winning league titles and European Cups anytime soon so I guess it depends on the lads ambition.

I expect him to stay with Everton for at least the next three or four years though.

He's a special talent, so how long we manage to keep hold of him will depend on how we progress in the next couple of years.

There'll be offers for him, there's no doubt about that, but we're under no financial pressure at present, so it's not like when we lost Rooney, when the player wanted to go & we desperately needed the cash.

IT would be nice to see a player with potential look to fulfill that and get to a better stage in his development and career instead of jumping for the money. Look at Zaha for example. At least players like Ince ( who could have moved) and Moses to an extent ( didn't jump for the big teams first and did his development at Wigan) who gave it that bit more time.

No doubt he'll end up at Man Utd - I'm sure he would like to play under Moyes again. But of course, that depends on where Man Utd are in a few years ;-)

Special talent who was completely unfazed in the derby - ran the show.

Would that be the same Moyes who never played him?
