    :afro: Liverpool fan on tour.

I've seen that some fans go on road trips to visit all the football grounds in England and Wales.

Well i'm not quite doing that i'm just going to visit every clubs board and say hello! May even vist Scotland.

Wycombe Wanderers were first on the list well done on their promotion.

If i'm on your board i'm just sayin' hello and camping out for a while pop in for a chat.

HI luvgonzo............Less time consuming for you this way and certainly a lot cheaper, don't go any further west, next stop could be the Americas if you aren't careful.

I think you shouldn't loiter too long in the pilgrims territory, our bad luck might rub off on you. With you just starting to move out of the doldrums you wouldn't want to be touched by our last years experiences.

I think it's my lazy gene stopping a proper road trip. The start of last season was no fun for us but can't compare it to you lot.

Hopefully you're on the up now?

I notice your post has not been overwhelmed with responses. It may be because there is a natural hesitation when it comes to liverpool posters on this particular board. We have one ex-scouser who constantly tells us what pants we are having moved here from your region and gives us the benefit of his wonderful wisdom at every opportunity (not on here yet but on the original 606). We have another still scouser who came onto 606 the original and gave us.......yes you have guessed it, the benefit of his wisdom on all things we were doing wrong in a rather patronising way. You know the sort "I love your club really but you didn't ought to do it like that". Like we suck straw and don't know the meaning of life at Argyle for ourselves.

Now, if you are visiting and only visiting then hello and welcome. It is probably easier to go on tour on line these days as to get around all of the league clubs before they become ex-league clubs is somewhat more difficult than the days when there were 92 and they all stayed in the professional leagues whatever happened. The only way you could do it physically now would be to start at the bottom of league 2 and work upwards as quickly as you could. By the time you got to the prem league you may get fed up anyway and lets face it who would ever want to go to Manchester anyway.

Not here to WUM have alook at my other posts below you on the board. <ok> Man Utd will be last on the trip and I don't expect too warm a welcome.

What are your ambitions for next season?

Given the horrendus financial position we've been in and aren't fully out of yet, I think most of us would bite your hand off for financial security, some signs that we can assemble a few decent players on a shoestring [we're just about able to turn out a 6-a-side team at the moment] and staying clear of the bottom third of the table.

If you have any youngsters in need of a competitive game up there in Liverpool, let us know!

That may not sound too ambitious but with a wage cap in this division, starting from rock bottom money wise and some expensive players still on the roster, it's going to be hard going for a while.

On the brighter side, Peter Reid has been a rock through the troubles and the very few players he did bring in before the cash ran out gave some hope he can pick a player. We shall see.

Hi luvgonzo, good luck with the tour.

For us this season will be about survival and hopefully a good mid-table (at least!) finish.

It's crap when you see clubs getting into financial trouble, as a fan you just want to turn up and support your team through good and bad but when it looks like your club may dissapear that's hard to take.

Loads of top youngsters at our club at the moment which may be the key to our future.

Welcome and enjoy the weather in sunny Devon just at tip but you may want to check the fire-proofing on that tent before visiting the Mancs board :emoticon-0104-surpr

I think it has already been said for our season which is survival first second and last. If we can stop the rot and just retain our existance and stay in league 2 then it will be a start. You are right about turning up and supporting through good and bad. We have a problem even with that a lot of the time where the locals just don't turn up and stick around for anything like long. If your future stars want a trip to a nice part of the country in your place then please send them on to us. Guarantee they will get a game and the support of those that go to matches. We have always been pretty well appreciative of loanees down here. One or two exceptions but they are few. Whilst you are at it please stuff Man U next season for the good of the country. I hate clubs with plastic fans just because they appear on Sky more than anyone else.

Will do our best to stuff Man Utd for you, no probs there. Andre Wisdom is England U19's captain and could do with some experience, he's a center back really good.

Being original and whitty naturally I bet you all call him "Norman". Whatever you call him we will take him. He'll have to pay his own train fare though to get here as we really are that skint. Trying to think of the last good loanee centre back we borrowed was...................damn he was from Man U and called Cathcart.

Yes I do beleive they call him Norman in training but only the older coaches most youngsters wouldn't understand. <ok>
