I obviously knew about the City rivalry but not the Shrews, this board was one of the more lively ones it's been mainly dead on the way here.

well luvgonzo theres alot to learn about the self proclaimed "barcelona of the 4th tier", yes that is in actual name they gave themself. they told the world they'd storm league 2, take a quick look at where they are in the league and try not to smirk, Barcelona also claim to have the best away fans in the whole of europe, and have a new manager every season, did i also mention they play their football on a rugby patch??
Back in the olden times when we played at Eastville, there was an Big Gasometer behind the stadium. The ****e decided to dis the rovers fans with the term gasheads. However, we decided to adopt the name, thinking as we do that the non-thinking sun readers of bedminster dont really mean any harm they just can't think straight, so it must be a term of endearment. Now if walked down from Lockleaze you would have found yourself at Eastville Stadium. Go the other direction you would be at our present ground the Mem. turn North West and you will come hopefully to our new proposed ground to be. God I never thought of it this way before, is Lockleaze the centre of the Universe?
