Actually it's nowt to do with football really, it's not their fault they get paid so much.

But what about other people working at the clubs alongside these mega rich players. Just because they earn so much, should the cleaners, caterers, security etc. expect to be paid more, just because of the enviroment they are working in?

Super-rich Premier League football clubs have been blasted for failing to ensure staff doing less glamorous but vital jobs get a decent salary.

Despite a £1.78billion pay bill last year, not a single top-flight club has committed to giving all ground staff and suppliers the £7.65-an-hour “living wage”.

Pampered players can earn eight-figure annual salaries – with England and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, 29, pulling in £300,000 a week and Manchester City’s Argentinian forward Sergio Aguero, 26, £220,000 a week.

Veteran Labour MP Frank Field has written to all 20 Premier League clubs demanding action.

But he got just six replies – with not one club committing to the full rate. Sunderland said the issue “did not merit further discussion”.

Why should football clubs do this when barely any companies in any field do it. It's a matter for parliament. Even Cashley with his sports shops isn't breaking the law and he's the lowest of the low.
