add that to the first team and we can push on

wholesale changes will happen with the amount of people not good enough, out of contract or only on loan but if we can bring in 4 players of top quality and then for the rest look for good cheap options like Ustari, Vergini and Alonso

    4 top players?

    Ever Banega
    Jonathan De Guzman
    Fabio Borini
    Moussa Sow

Ever Banega moved on the last day of the last transfer window on a free to somewhere, think it was back to Argentina so cant see it
Jonathon De Guzman has looked nothing special when ive seen him for Swansea, very similar to Larsson
    Borini I cant argue with
Didnt Moussa Sow go to the Turkish League?

Permanant signings to cover the 12 set to leave

    Ustari (two year)

    For defence

    Caulker
    Alonso
    Vergini
    Rose
    Bardo(1 year)

I think these permanent signings would go a long way towards sorting out our defence and give it a foundation for when the old fellas leave in 12months

    Borini
    Ki
    Larsson(2 year)
    Sigurdsson
    Banega
    Colback(4year)

Then maybe sell a few strikers if the price is right plus sell players like Graham, alfie, dikite, cabral, roberge to try and raise money towards some real fire power.

I like all of this, no big clearouts, just a few more signings like Manone, Vergini, Alonso and Borini in the right areas will do, these lads have done us proud, hope to see Mavraise, Ba, Scocco and a few others already at the club benefit from being here and pushing for a place next season, we really are in a good place all of a sudden, totally unexpected, but a great feeling non the less.

    Corchia
    Sigurdsson
    Alonso
    Borini
    Vergini
    Ustari
    Banega

I'd go for these. This would give us an excellent start.

Of the loan players I'd sign:

    Vergini
    Alonso
    Ustari
    Borini

The only players I can think of specifically are:

    Holtby/Sigurdson from Spurs either or
    Caulker

    Then we also need
Cover for LB, RB and CB
    At least 1 extra CM

Hope Ellis is feeling generous and backs Poyet

Banega is a strange one. Why was he loaned out?

I know people turn their noses up at signing players from relegated teams but im not one of them and id quite happily take a few.

    Caulker
    Noone
    Campbell

    Bassong
    Fer
    Hooper

Sell Fletcher and Graham and bring campbell and hooper in to compliment Altidore and Wickham

Fer is quality and we need a centre midfielder or 3 with the outgoings.

Ive always liked Bassong and if the fee was reasonable he'd be a good edition, experienced left footed centre back.
Caulker has the potential to be one of the best centre backs in the country and Brown would be an excellent mentor.

    Id sign Ustari and Vergini
Try and swap Alonso for Diakite
Give new contracts to Larsson and Colback
Try and negotiate a deal for Borini
    Sign a quality right back
    +
    Marquee signing

    So a quiet summer really.

We should hear quite soon which players are staying and which ones are leaving, possibly by as early as next week if the comments from GP are true.

Then we'll know where the gaps are. The problem with the loanees is that these deals are usually unlikely to be resolved until very near the transfer window closure. So once our loanees are gone that'll be it till August, which means we are unlikely to know about Borini ,Alonso, etc returning until then. Unless that is we can get them signed up before that.

Liverpool are trying to get Lallana before the world cup which is great business. There'll be some very good players out there who's price will go through the roof following the World Cup.

Overall though, I think its going to be a quiet couple of months before we see new faces holding up the red & white for the camera's. And that's a real bugger coz I don't want the season to end now! Can't wait to see who GP's got in mind for next year, as long as they're match fit from day one, unlike Scocco! And the way we've finished the season might persuade some quality players to give us a second glance!

I'd definitely go for Caulker as mentioned above. But not Frazer, he's not prolific enough for me.

As for a striker, not a clue pal. There arent many 15-20+ out there at the minute. I dont ever like the idea of buying a striker from a relegated club, unless there's a damn good reason why hes not responsible for their lack of goals, the Usual reason for relegation.

Alonso is a definite keep as well. So is Vergini.

I think you just made my point. I want a successful striker, not one associated with a team constantly in the bottom third of the league over the last 4 or 5 years.
