Footballer Marek Hamsik celebrates his 24th birthday today following his birth in 1987. For those of you who haven't heard of him, he has been touted as one of the best young central midfielders in europe. He has been linked with Arsenal over the past couple of seasons as a replacement for Cesc Fabregas and is the captain of his country (Slovakia). Currently playing for Napoli, Hamsik has already made 214 senior club appearances and has scored 52 senior goals. From a midfielder, I'd say a goal return of 1 in 4 games is pretty decent. He's made 143 appearances for current club Napoli and has scored 41 goals in just 4 seasons, meaning his goal return is almost 3.5. Despite only being 24 today, Hamsik has made 46 appearances for his country and had the honour of captaining them in the 2010 world cup.
