I was in work - someone heard about the first plane, so we went to the TV room. Watched dumbstruck when the second plane hit ....None necessary Taff. 19 years ago I was playing pool in the boozer - about 2pm it was. Everything stopped we all just watched the telly getting pissed.
We did a cracking 2hr tour of ground zero, the guide was fantastic and took us around the whole area, through the shopping mall and into the American Express building. The whole tour was about a certain NYFD ladder 6 crew, they were the only ladder not to lose anybody.I was enjoying a golf day and we were just walking off the 18th green when we heard the news. I will never forget watching those TV images as we watched it unfold. Like Nev we visited Ground Zero a couple of years ago and very moving. We have a friend who worked in an adjoining Tower Block and have spoken to him a few times about it. It really brings it home.
Driving back from Bristol after a meetingWhat was everyone else up to?

If my memory is correct I think American Express Lost 9 people in the north tower, they did all the travel arrangements for people. The memorial to the ones that were lost is very thought provoking, it’s called the teardrop, where one drop of water falls into a nonagon quadrant with their name.My friend worked for American Express Nev
