The Black Cats drew 6-6 on aggregate with the Gills but went out on away goals. 1973 â A crowd of over 43,000 packed into Roker Park to greet the FA Cup winners ahead of the Black Catsâ game with QPR. Rangers ran out 3-0 winners to confirm their second-place finish whilst Bob Stokoeâs side revelled in the clubâs finest hour.
