Time to wake up and smell the coffee for North Enders as GW said yesterday Rome wasn't built in a day and as he probably found out yesterday he has a massive job to turn around the cruise liner that has been heading for the rocks for at least three years.
Who can you blame for thios mess, the owner, two chairman, three managersand a vast amount of players. The owner who to be fair to him has kept the club going but has made some poor decisions in respects of managerial appointments, Fergie and Brown the latter now seems to have been an awful appointment(easy to say in hindsight)
DS who sanctioned big money transfers of under achieving big earners. ML who probably didn't have a clue hence the contract shambles with Billy Jones.
AI decent coach played boring football and when he had a chance to buy Charlie Adam went out and bought Veliche Shumulokoski who we then had to pay off which must have cst a small fortune.
DF who was tactically inept especially at the back although to be fair to him brought Coutts and Treacy to the club.
PB who talked the talk but didn't do the walk, brought some dross to the club, where do you start, Leon Clarke, Eddie Johnson, Steve Smith and Brian McLean. Played players out of position, highlighted when signing midfielder Nathan Doyle on loan and playing him at right back at Bury.
GW has a lot to turnround it will possibly get worse before it gets better and what makes it worse this is a very poor division and we are midtable, the table doesn't lie.
