In an interview today on our clubsite "And O'Driscoll admitted he was not concerned about which league they were playing in, just that they will play enough matches in the coming weeks. O'Driscoll said: "We had to look at the bigger picture. "If they are going to be massive parts of this squad next season then the more football experience they can get actually playing games the better." Now this suggests OD is contemplating moving certain players on. Adomah and Cunningham are both too good for Div 1, and as we do seem to be headed that way it makes sense to line up the home boys as replacements
I personally think Cunningham will stay. On a big contract we won't need the money and not to sound big headed but if we went down we would be favourites to win the league/Come straight back up. At 22 a season where will be winning most games and be fully confident, It will do his career the world of good. Adomah on the other hand is 25 going on 26 so will jump ship for a prem team.
Albert will go to a wigan/reading type Also I'm not too fussed who leaves.. the only one i'd care about is if SOD left
If anyone has seen Albert play in the last 4 months they won't be saying he is too good for League 1!!!
Albert is Championship at best imo...and I mean BEST.......a good L1 player I would imagine, but no way a prem player! He had a golden spell a few months back where he was the most exciting player in a very VERY poor team so he was going to stand out wasn't he?
Albert hasn't got anywhere near the ability or continual quality he would need to become a regular in any Premiership team. Not even at a Reading or a Wigan
Why do these players believe they are premiership players? Because their agents fool them in to believing they are better than they actually are and by doing so line their own greedy coffers. They are the scourge of the game and should be outlawed to let the players use their own brains rather than being led down a path to nowhere. Many a reasonable player has been led down to the road to semi-obscurity by agents building up their dreams - just ask Nicky Maynard who fell for the bait offered and now flounders on the bank. I know he is injured and I wish him no ill will but he did his personal image no good at all by listening to his agent.
If Adomah was in a team like Swansea then you would see the best of him week in week out and no doubt he will be a very good player for them. Put him in the worst side in the championship, Then there is only so many times you will see his true ability. Adomah is a Premiership player, Simple as that.
Adomah does not have the skills to play for a Swansea as the emphasis in sides like that is retaining the ball and team work. He isnt very good at either. He has some eye catching skills but major flaws needs to graft on some aspects of a player like say Craig Bellamy to really push on another level.
Adomah v Dyer no brainer Dyer all day long I'm afraid. Albert is brilliant on his day trickery it's all there, with some guidance he could become better. If I was him now I would stay with us signing a 18 - 24 month extension let SoD work with him then he will become more consistent. At the moment he blows hot and cold the prem would be a big step at the moment.
Albert is nearly there but I am in 2 minds about him. We all know that he has the ability to dribble past all of the opposition defence as he did against Boro and was unlucky not to score on that occasion. What he DOES lack is the ability to dribble past his marker(s) and then look up and pass the ball to an unmarked team mate for a tap in. If he every masters that bit of the game, he WILL look good in a top team. It fascinates me that SoD says that he has to give Marv his head, licence to roam, to get the best out of him yet we are stiffling Albert's natural attacking instincts into a rigid up and down system which accordingly to most on here has clearly had a detrimental effect on his game... Regards Nicky Maynard, he will most likely start next season in the Prem with a much better chance of starting than at WHAM so if he gets over his injury, I wouldn't be writing him off just yet...

So what is it - 1st or 2nd comment. If you're in any doubt your first comment is correct.
SOD is right we need to focus on the present which is staying up. We can focus on next season when he have got to the end of the season. Do you want players to: A focus with the job in hand B focus on if we go down do they want to stay at the club or play else where and as for Albert in the Prem, only as a squad player. He has pace (when he wants it) but he isnt consistant and has no END PRODUCT. No point being able to run half the pitch if you then lose the ball. He is a player though that I do hope leaves at the end of the season if the money is used to invest in the centre of defence as currently in SOD team there is no wide wingers required. gone are the days under Millen and Del where the only tactic was give it to Albert which worked at first until the other team worked that out and we had no plan B
