The pop psychologists in the media... are having some predatory fun on Suarez's account at the mo.

    For example:
The secret Suárez in all of us
Luis Suárez has been accused of biting another football player. As a psychiatrist I'd ask if primitive Freudian urges explain his behaviour

Are we all 'secret biters' repressing our primitive desires to kill and maim when under threat??

    http://www.theguardian.com/commenti...ret-suarez-freud-biting-unconscious?CMP=fb_gu

I particularly like the comment on three times of biting behaviour:

"A report published by the FBI identified three types of violent biter: the experimental, the frustrated and the threatened biter. The experimental biter was thought of as a sexual deviant. The frustrated biter was someone with a criminal mind. And the threatened biter was thought of as being paranoid and retaliatory..."

Which kind of biter are YOU ? ;)

All very interesting stuff..... remembering the Beckham kicking out.... and the Zidane headbutt

Interestingly Beckham was soon forgiven and now is doing very well thank you.... and Zidane is manager of quite a good football club......

I blame his mother, she obviously stopped breast feeding him too early....wait a minute, that's probably not the reason!

yorkie, I think it's unfair to mention Zidane's headbutt given that Materazzi had insulted Zidane's sister.

I'd like to see a method used on Suarez that I witnessed as a young kid, used on pigs but would be just as effective on humans.

A bolt action humane killer between the eyes!

I am surprised at "heavy" the punishment is. I assumed that FIFA would bottle it and only ban him from the rest of the world cup and not any club games. But it should have been a whole season.
But not doubt the City of Pity will be arranging for t-shirts to be printed, a 2 minutes silence and demanding questions to be asked in The House.

You could accept some eccentricities, but not dining out on your opponents!

That just confirms what everyone knows - that FIFA, unlike Suarez, are just toothless...

If you include his attempted bite on the same Italian in the Confederations Cup last year when he completely missed, it's actually his 4th time. Maybe this time was just a case of making sure he completed the job.

    Wonder what Liverpool will do?

Can't be good for them, a lot to chew over.
