Sat back and had a think about it since Tuesday instead of commenting much on here. That Leeds game was as good as I've seen as a team effort for a while now but we came out of it with just praise and no points - how wrong was that? In the past we've literally thrown points away with tepid performances against poor oppossition on the pitch, and in the opinion of many, an inneffective tactical approach culminating in the poor management of the resources available. Tuesday was different and we should take heart from that. We gave nothing away - it was taken from us. Leeds scored on the night and we didn't it's as simple as that, but I'd rather watch that sort of effort and comittment than sit through the turgid stuff of the first half of the season. As thread title says, on reflection I'll take these last 10 games in the same vein if not the same result as Tuesday. If we can do it against Brighton with the right result and Leeds with obviously the wrong one, we can do it for these last crucial games. Getting the results is obviously the priority, but giving the supporters something to cheer to the end of the season will set us up for next year even if it is still this division. Ipswich tomorrow will be a massive game and deserves a decent crowd - let's hope we get another strong team performance but this time with the right result.
I think the clash with the egg chasing will kill any chance of an increased crowd. You need to be showing an interest to know we actually played very well and not just focus on a 2-0 defeat. I'll take the same sort of crowd with the same passion on and off the pitch. On another day we'd have put 6 past Leeds. We looked confident and moved the ball brilliantly. Ipswich will have to defend very very well if we attack with the same purposefulness. I can't wait for Saturday, the next 3 games are massive
