http://www.petitiononline.co.uk/petition/dont-liquidate-pafc-pa/3347 .... for anyone who wants to sign it
Don't put the idea in their minds by talking about it...........it aint going to happen...........Guilfoyle would lose too much face if he didn't see it through.........it wouldn't look good on his CV. With Brent and Buttivant still in the wings I don't think the Football League would want to lose their furthest west and south club.
Too late for that Plymborn, that was one of the options Brenda was considering should the PB's bid fail .... I hope to dear god because of all the bad publicity for him and his company that this idea has been dropped.
As I understand it, the present bidders are to inject £3m to cover accumulated losses [although not sure whether this includes the amount due to Lombard], including back wages and £1m to cover the club's projected losses this year. Conservatively, assuming the £3m does include Lombard, this means they're paying c. £2m extra on the deal just because it contains a football club compared to acquiring the land assets in a liquidation and possibly as much as £4m extra. Why would anyone else do that at this stage? That's how perilous a situation we're in. That's why we should be praying that the current PB completes and not yearning for Brent or Buttivant just because we don't like Heaney or Ridsdale or the Irish or whoever. Obviously a Plan B is useful to have but there must be a big chance of liquidation if the present deal falls through. The saving grace may be not what Guilfoyle does but that the League & PFA get a move on and agree to the current proposal on the basis that if the club is liquidated, they can probably kiss goodbye to their infamous "football creditors go first" rule as all the available money will go to pay off the secured liabilities on the land.
